I can only control (barely) my actions and reactions to this. I'm giving to charity to show my discontent.

Good lord Mac Walters notes and quote about the endings has really depressed me and made me less hopeful for some sort of patch of fix.

Hold the line people, break the cycle ($50,000.01) right now this is my one bit of ME3 related happiness.

We should absolutely not try to force Bioware into donating DLC money to Child's Play. If they want to donate a portion then that's totally their call. It would be so totally wrong on so many levels to pressure them into doing that.

Not sure that's something we should try  force onto BioWare, especially as an ending DLC may cost them money to make. It'd be great if they did, but trying to force them into it would make us look bad. Besides, it may well have been them who donated that 10 grand...

Nobody should force Bioware to do anything, that's what makes this drive so great, we're asking for something. Not forcing them to do anything. It would be extremely generous of them though...

I'd love it if they did it, but I don't see it happening - they're far more likely to release a free "patch" (so they don't have to call it DLC) as they might also want to appease fans who aren't part of the drive and may feel they shouldn't have to pay (some people are uncharitable, but they also deserve a fix).

A more likely scenario is that they release a free fix and donate a lump sum to Child's Play - it makes sure everyone is happy.

I donated. Oddly, I felt infinitely better after doing it. My 15 year old, who plays on XBL, asked me last night to donate her “report card money” in lieu of receiving it. It want much, so I bumped it to a neat 100$. For the first time since seeing me finish the game (PC), she’s pulled out hers to play.

Lolz.  Sorry.  Didn't mean to sound rude about it.  It's just that there is still a lot of anger and hurt out there and it would be really easy to let this issue get out of hand.  We're good how we are and it seems like Bioware has given us their unofficial support.  I think it's best if we let them come up with that idea on their own.  If we suggest it to them then we really will look like ****holes.

The idea is a nice one, and clearly born out of good intention, but it might be misconstrued.

Ok I understand. Its really easy to misinterperet things when text is the means of communication.  I still like the idea but maybe now wasn't the time to mention it.

Awww.  It's all good.  And jedi mind trick em into donating.  I think
the more publicity we get, the more likely they'll have to respond in
SOME way similarly in order to calm things down and still look like the
good guys.

Just got home for break. Going to head out again shortly. Having read the Final Hours from Geoff, now more than ever we have to keep putting on pressure. This is not something we can just... accept. Not if they want the community in whole to support it when the gamers come time to vote Game of the Year or more importantly - buy their DLC. It may not seem fair, and I'll say it is painful to feel so negatively against a franchise I cherish, but that is why we have to be.. I personally have to be... so very critical of the failure in the execution of their endings. Hold the line.
