Uh oh

Yeah..he got taken down pretty quick.

I'm glad (I think?). I was confused as to how he didn't get the reference if he's a fan of the games. Maybe he's not a fan and just saw the movement and got upset.

If it makes ya feel better, I know PLENTY of servicemen and women who are here in spirit haha :wizard:

Blows my mind.  I served in the AF for 12 years, did multiple deployments spent years away from my family living in tents, getting missles and mortors shot at me and I still can't understand the unprofessionalism.  Chances are this guy is either not in the military or if he is, will get himself in trouble.  The military generally expects more professionalism than this guy is demonstrating.   Also the majority of us who have serve have strong feelings about people being able to worry about things that seem trivial when your deployed.  It's why I joined and why a whole lot of people serve.

Well done everyone!

Especially charitable as it was a 'child' that caused it all... ;)

This was all a setup, the ops are in on it.  Child's Play struck a deal with Bioware to raise money.  Spread the truth!

 I am starting to think:

1) Bioware is under a gag order from their higher ups to not talk about the terrible ending.

2) They have changed as a company we once loved. :/

However, in the end, whether they finally comment about it or not, at least we are making a difference. As a Cancer survivor who once basically lived in a hospital for 2-3 years, the only thing that kept me sane was the games and movies they had there. Once I was released, my white cell count was to low for me to be around other people or even go outside, so I was stuck at home alone until my folks got home. So my mom went out and bought Mass Effect for me since I saw it on TV and thought it looked cool. I feel in love with the game the first time i played it, and I have stayed in love with it ever since.

Yet, seeing that the game I feel in love with and that helped me through the worst of times, has made me sick to the core. However, seeing the good yall are doing, just makes me so happy. I have posted on this thread before, but i didn't post my story because i don;t like useing my past as a cruch. But, after seeing that yall have rasied 50k+ I thought what could be the harm of telling it.

Thank yall for everything, no matter the outcome, I know kids will thank you for everything you have done for them.

Hearnishere123 thanks for sharing that story, not a crutch at all, but an inspiration!

For the kids in the hospital situation you were in, we hold the line,
thanks for being a part of it.

We can do it! There's only 2000 individual donations right now, though I know some have given multiple times. If every person who liked "Demand a better ending to Mass Effect 3" on Facebook (31,000 users) gave just $2 they'd put us waaaaay over 100k! My pipe dream is to see it reach 10% of last year's Child's Play overall total. At the rate we're going that may not be a dream at all!

That's amazing.  Thanks so much for sharing.

I knew this charity was for a great cause, but this just helped it hit home how much it helps.
I'm going to donate again right now!

Like any charity, it will eventually dwindle the longer it goes on.  But I think that the good press is bringing in more donations.

That is bound to happen at one point or another, but the fact alone that this Initiative took in 10 times the amount I hoped for as I donated in the beginning is a testament to its resounding success.

One big "Good Job" for all of you and a small, preemptive "MIssion Accomplished"

Hold the Line, Paragons of Protest ^_^

Yeah, when we were first talking about this idea I had absolutely NO idea.  I thought maybe we'd make a few thousand and Bioware wouldn't give a **** either way.

Agreed, but, I have seen a lot of people posting that they will donate on the next payday. (I know I am going to donate again at the next payday!) So I think it may slow down from the initial surge... or maybe not. Maybe as more people find out about it, it just gets better? Only time will tell.

Regardless - slow down, speed up, stay constant, it just does not matter! No matter what - we raised a ton of money for kids - AND turned a really negative thing into something beautiful and positive!

Never forget that or let anyone take away the cool feelings we have right now. :)

Oh - and thanks

Awesome job guys! Another milestone has been passed and we are now halfway to one-hundred-thousand dollars. Let's keep up the donations and hope that more media sites will now acknowledge both the dissatisfaction with the current ME3 ending and the phenomenal job the community has been doing rallying around this just cause.

Hold the line!

Same here. Despite what trolls and try hard contrarians would have you believe, this is doing some good. I'm proud of everyone involved in this.
