Thank you BioWare for listening. We love your game, and just want to know that there is purpose in playing it again and again.

I completely agree!

C'mon, let's try to reach 100k ASAP -

Hold the line!

I hope there'll be a second big wave of donations once people get their paychecks. I know I will be donating again on the 26th.

As will I, I donated 20 dollars the first time, but thing is, there's only a current number of 2345 donators, which is a FRACTION of all the people upset about the ME3 ending - If everyone just donated one or two dollars it would make a HUGE difference. If you don't have a paypal account it takes a minute to sort out.

Something like this has never been done before, let's make Bioware understand (in the most great and noble way possible) how much this game means to us and make this thing go down in history.

- Paragon +1000 people??

Aye, it's nothing for the individual but huge for the mass result, I wish people would see that, and if there's ANYTHING we really can do to convince Bioware it's through this - cause this goes beyond forums, this goes out into mass media. It was a big article today about this in the Entertainment section of my newspaper, we ar emaking a difference.

We made it to Eurogamer.net a second time!

"Meanwhile, the fan petition to change the game's endings has now raised over $50,000 for charity. The fan campaign has been appealing for funds to get the movement taken seriously by BioWare; money which it will then donate to gaming charity Child's Play."

This, this and this. :)

I know I've seen lots of comments about people waiting for payday, which is totally understandable! Although it is for a good cause, I don't wish anyone to give up the money they need to live on.
(However, money you were setting aside for ME3 DLC? You can donate that... hehehe. I donated that, plus my SW:TOR account money (once I cancelled both of them) plus what I normally give to other charities monthly.

Word is just starting to get out. We have positive media perception for doing a GREAT thing with a "protest", which is normally very negative in nature. I think we can only go up as this gets more visible. April 11th is still a good distance away, so pace yourselves!! Lots more to come in, lots more happiness and joy and renewed faith in humanity to come! :)

Hold the line!

A german newspaper with a rly big reputation called "Die Zeit" also wrote today a article about it. It´s my favorite newspaper couldn´t imagine that they ever bring that story. Now I listening to Michael Kiwanuka and enjoy the first hot day in the year, such a beutiful day. Only Bioware can make it better.

Just read it on their website, and even though my german is pretty damn bad (I refuse to use google translate <_<), I got the impression that it's quite a nice and neutral article.

Correct me if I'm wrong though.. B)

Same here. No more money for swtor, no money for dlc.

It feels awesome to actually be able to make your anger and frustration felt.
No more vague threats like "boo hoo I am nevarrr going to buy any other Bioware Game!!"
Instead, direct action, instant impact.

And the best thing about it, is that it's for a good cause. Two in fact ;)

Oh my english isn´t rly better.   Yes, the articel is neutral. They say that Bioware is right to bring the "art" argument, but also see our point and they also note our fundraising.

Link for everyone too lazy to search: www.zeit.de/digital/games/2012-03/mass-effect-3-ende-protest

And yes, the article's actually great (and two pages long!). While it's mostly neutral reporting, the author's clearly on our site (also, note the link to Jeremy Jahn's awesome youtube video).

Thanks for telling us about the article, Metathron80! :)

That made me laugh:

Fans: "Bioware, how could you screw up the endings???"
Bioware: "No data...available."
Fans: dhgihkdfsfhh!!
Bioware: "Corporate management is currently building consensus. Please try again later."

This is the second time I've seen the same thing something on Retake ME on Facebook and on BSN at the same time... Kinda weird when you're not used to it.

While I like child's play, the fact that penny-arcade actively ridicules people who didn't like the ending with a strawman argument about "happy" endings shows how much disconnect there is between them and people who can't afford to play every once game and move on.
