Lol.  They should be proud that their product has inspired such loyalty.  Mass Effect is one of the greatest stories of our time and cannot end like this.

Uhhh, I just thought of something. I don't mean to be "that guy", but how do we know this will get to Child's Play? ChipIn doesn't necessarily go straight to the cause it is saying. From the about page of ChipIn:

ChipIn allows anyone to collect money for a personal cause, group purchase, or fundraiser using their own custom ChipIn page.

So, ya, what guarantee do we have that whoever started this isn't going to pocket all the money and go "LOLOLOLOL you guys are noobs!"?

Well me and several others have confirmed that it is indeed Child's Play that shows up on the paypal charge.  I'll get a pic proof in a minute for you.

The recipts people have collected so far confirmed it is going to the Charity Childs Play. Not to mention if someone did try to rip us off...well it isn't hard to find address's on the net. But more than that I like to think people are decent enough not to do that.

I've been lurking on this forum commiserating about the endings since I beat the game on Friday, but I didn't feel motivated to register my game and join the conversation until I saw this thread.

Thank you for coming up with such a wonderful idea. I just donated and I hope everyone does.

Just a suggestion: I hate the endings as much as the next guy, but maybe you could direct people to a donation portal not under the "Retake Mass Effect" name as well? As incomprehensible as it seems to me, some people actually like the endings, and Child's Play is a wonderful charity which everyone should support regardless of how they feel about Mass Effect 3.

That said, please donate to the "Retake Mass Effect" cause if you DO want to change the endings (like most of us).
