Lol. So Bioware just posted on FB (ME2 page) about a bunch of new merchandise....and the trolls came in roves. I think they picked the wrong weekend to ask people to buy their stuff.

I am so tempted to get an N7 Hoodie...:(

Geeze it's like they don't realize that repeatedly poking the beehive is a BAD thing.  Either Bioware is having a MASSIVE fanbase disconnect (which is even more surprising based on how well they normally handle things)..or they took trolling lessons from the best of 4chan.

Or they've got the pressure on from EA.

Really? That's... not very smart. I don't agree with people trolling that post, but I can't see how anyone could think now is a good time to market more merchandise.

Send me PM if you have any ideas for what it should look like or say.
Can't use any copyrighted artwork of course, but I can come up with something original.

"Paragons of Protest", "Hold the line!" or "I held the line in 2012" are some things we can use.

Just want to say that I too haven't put any reviews up, as I'm still waiting to see what happens with this ending snafu. The game is still amazing, save for that 1% ending. Bioware definitely is to be commended for the amazing 99%, I'm working on my second Insanity playthrough. But yeah, that ending is what's holding back my full support, and I want them to know that it's only that 1% that taints the series for me.

As for this weekend, I probably will participate in the multiplayer as it is a great part of the game for me. Everyone is definitely free to boycott this weekend or not, I'll still be doing my part in Holding the Line for our ending fix. I'm so proud of this dedicated and passionate group!

HOLD THE LINE!

Might want to consider Renegades of Protest and Paragades of Protest.  I know that we are paragon with this protest but I have seen some banners with Renegade.

My thought, that I expressed a while back was trying to raise their metacritic score. While I think they should be judged fairly on the ending which I would rate at probably a 1 the whole game would probably be a 7 to 9 for me. Right now it stands at about a 3.5 for PC, XBOX and PS3. I though it would be a good idea to raise the score, advertise retake mass effect and the child's play in the critic and make it clear that while we think the ending should be changed or added to we think BW deserves a fair metacritic score. Plus it would probably generate some good publicity as the Metacritic score was covered quite a bit in the beginning. Also, free advertising that for a lot of people that don't use BSN.

I really like this idea, as long as the majority are on board.  It would show that we're on BW's side, and not all of us are total trolls.

I like it too, I think something fair like this fits the movement very well.

I don't think it's a good idea to write reviews to intentionally raise or lower a game's score.  I will admit that I did review it on Metacritic and I gave it a 9 because that is my personal opinion.  If the ending had been better I probably would've given it a 10 but I didn't feel it was fair to mark it down more than 1 point because of the last 15-20 min of the game when I thought the rest of it was so well done.

If I had reviewed it immediately after finishing it might've been a different story.  But I've had time to consider it and to be honest this thread and donating to such a great cause has made me feel much less bitter about it.  I still support a new ending, but even if we don't get one we've done something amazing and that's something to feel good about.

"Ein Heroisches Ende, welches (ausfürlicher; besser) vermittelt was im Laufe des Spieles erreicht wurde." ?

I love these Situation when I know exactly what I want to convey, but just cannot find the right words to do so :bandit:

Nothing about the charity, but I think the guy stole UN's language about the "heroic ending with a sense of accomplishment."

It's kinda hard to translate, seeing as there's no real translation of heroic that doesn't sound cheesy and old fashioned to german ears. We kinda let go of all those phrases after you know what ;)

I'd suggest going with "Ein "gutes" Ende, das einem mehr das Gefühl vermittelt, etwas erreicht zu haben" - avoiding the heroism part entirely but still hinting that it's for those people who did things "right"
