There is a good, recent example of this. Huggies did some commercial recently where the dad's couldn't figure out how a diaper worked... It was some humorous point in the commercial. A bunch of dad's called in to complain and the commercial was yanked. Why? Because the company responsible for the product wanted to be able to continue to SELL said product.
I've said all along, BioWare is free to choose to change the endings, or leave them as is. They just have to live with the consequences of that choice.
I know where my dollars will or will NOT be going based on that decision.

Indeed, the choice is completely Bioware's. This movement, regardless of its success, will show the video game industry that they'd better think critically about every product they put out; and the consequences of their actions if they fail to all possibilities into account. So, in a sense, we are still making history as consumers & as a subculture.
