I'm going to quote Shepard and Anderson now. It seems relevant.
Shepard: "What if they won't LISTEN!?"
Anderson: "MAKE them listen!!"
As Garrus said... Yell loud enough and someone will eventually come to see what all the fuss is about. Keep up the good work and eventually we will succeed. And even if we don't get the ending to Mass Effect 3... Helping all the sick kids and putting smiles on their faces is the ending I am most happy with. Gotta think about those blue babies.

second all of this. And guys remember this as well. For them to sort through all this feedback, decide what to do with it and then (hopefully) make a dlc ending will take time. A lot of time, cutscenes like i know we all want to see don't just come together over night.
Long story short. we all need to be ready to be in this for the long haul. I know i am, the children are worth it. And to be frank, so is a real ending to one of the most enjoyable interactive storytelling experiences ive ever played through.

so proud of the people involved in this donation.
ps: on a sidenote, just watched stargate universe's epilogue episode again and to me it basically showed me what an ending to mass effect 3 it could have been, shepard and his crew marooned on a planet (maybe an already colonized planet to make it more believable) and show joker recording their days and key moments on a holotape until he dies of old age, then fastforward to an high tech city with landmarks named after the normandy's crew and a large statue of the crew on the plaza or something.
for those who don't know here's the final clip of said episode, go see the full episode sometime it's worth it.

Incidentally, I was lurking yesterday from work (I keep looking at this thread as a kind of moral support/pick me up) and as I left on my lunch break it was somewhere around 52K.. half an hour later when I got back into the office, what do you know, it was already 53K. Guess a lot of people get their paychecks on friday.
p.s. Hold the line.

I see there was a lot of movement, why I was asleep!? Gotta catch up now.
Too bad the best things seem to happen at my night-time.

Looks like we are sitting at $56368.00 so far.
Wow. Just ....wow.
You people are truly inspiring. From the ashes of that terrible ending, you turned your irritation and indignation into something constructive. Instead of the moaning and whining I've seen you accused of, you instead poured your efforts into making children's lives a little better. Instead of dwelling on the negative you instead made jokes about Starchild and Marauder Shields, urging each other's efforts on with calls of "hold the line!".
I'm proud to share this little corner of the interweb with you.
Keelah se'lai.
