The ME3 part is towards the end - not a lot of detail, but it touches on Bioware actually considering changing things due to our complaints.

So CNN covered the ME3 endings debate. Nice because it was picked up by a big news source (although nothing on the charity), bad because it was just wrong about so many things. Particularly, that ME3 would be the first game ever to change an ending with DLC. Also, that Bioware was seriously considering changing the endings (which they have never said). So...hm. Not sure how I feel about it.

I believe what we have here is a Cowboy Bebop At His Computer situation. At least we got the attention of a big news station, though I wish they could've mentioned the charity.

PS To those who I have just gotten hooked on/distracted by TVTropes with that link I apologize.

Edit: Here's the link again since it got stuck at the bottom of the last page:

On the bright side, by the time you finish up there the new endings will be out! <_< That's a bright side, right?

CNN.COM video on ME Ending Controversy Skip to about 4 minutes in.

Might be worth trying to contact the personalities/department involved in this video since they have covered this already they might be more inclined to cover the charity drive!

ETA: Way , excuse me! :D

To be honest, my faith in Bioware was so shaken at first that I was reluctant to support this cause. Yet, I understand now that it's for the love of the game and, more importantly, it's for the children.

My contribution may be tiny by comparison, but I want to do my part. I used to be one of those kids and I know that, during dark times, any smile is priceless. Thank you for organizing this. I've never been more proud to be a part of this community.

Lol, I keep finding myself taking a look at the donations page and finding it just short of the next thousand dollars and then stay up watching it until it finally passes of that mark.. Anyone else finding themselves doing this?

Oh, you would not believe the bull**** I'm having to deal with over on Facebook for supporting this cause, this charity, and the desire to be treated with integrity by a company that promised us one this and delivered something utterly unsatisfactory. It is good to be able to come here and talk with people who understand, and are using their dissatisfaction to do some good for those who need it most.

Well done, BSNers. Our part may be small in the grand scheme of things, but in the words of Thane, we are making the galaxy a brighter place, for those who need it the most. Even if nothing comes of our protests, THIS is worth it!

Glad to here that you're supporting this charity as well as the cause in general.  It takes a lot of time and dedication to prove to people that we are sincere and honest about how we were given, to use your words "something utterly unsatisfactory".  I hope the harassment against you doesn't continue any further and that you are able to deal with it in a manner appropriate to the goodwill this movement has created.

Glad to have you aboard,
Hold the Line!

P.S. Ding, $61,000

Thank you.

And I don't hate them for having an opinion. Not by any means. But I am disappointed in them that they are refusing to try to understand, and are completely ignoring the points of the matter. The fact that these are people who usually do try to listen, and understand other opinions is even more depressing.

I am though ashamed to admit that my emotions got the better of me for one post. I hope I didnt' do too much damage. :(

Edit: Finally got the link to work for me. Just donated. I'm glad the Charity Drive was started. $61,000 is AWESOME! :)

I would like to point something out.

Do you people realize how EA is likely viewing this event? They see that a handful of people (handful as opposed to the well over 2 Million copies they probably sold already), are really upset with the endings. And what do they do? They spend MORE money!

Doesn't matter where the money goes, the mere fact that you are willing to part with money for an ENDING that suits your tastes better (or IS better, regardless of how you look at it), just means one thing to EA. They can mess up endings in the future and possibly garner even more money by providing End Game DLC.

Child's Play is a great cause and all. But you guys are seriously going about your disappointment the wrong way.

Not to mention this guy who wants to take things to the FTC.

Well, If they pull that of, it'll be the last money they'll see from me.

I am willing to pay for a conclusion to a series that has become so dear to my heart, but if they think I'll do the same thing for any new stuff, they are sorely mistaken.
Whatever the outcome of this, my days of buying EA/Bioware products on release day, or even preordering, are over
