This needs to be displayed better on the facebook page

I agree.  It's a little hard to find.  Don't know who to contact about it though.  I think the guy who runs it is taking a day off with his lady, so it might have to wait.

'You contributed $50.00 to Retake Mass Effect - Child's Play'

Money that would have gone to the hipsters at Bioware. Thanks for organizing this. Glad it's going somewhere that might actually matter.

Dear Bioware, you'll never see another penny from my pocket. If I ever get the urge to buy one of your products, it will go to a charity instead.

Glad something good is coming out of this joke. The game review sites and developers mocking the ME community with this entitlement BS can kiss my ass.

Cheers.

Alright, alright. I don't like being that guy. I just wanted to make sure this really was for a good cause. Geez, I think it's because it is just so unbelievable that in the last 24 or so hours we have already raised nearly $3000. Correct me if I am wrong, but that is more money going to Child's Play then EA or BioWare has ever donated.

It's not wrong to question, especially since you did it out of concern.  Believe me I sure as heck checked my reciept when I got it!

People we are going to get a lot worse thrown at us for this from some site like Kotaku.  Just be ready for it.

Let them. It makes them look petty and vindictive. Attacking gamers for donating to a charity? Yup, that will go over well with other news outlets. And as smaller ones here about them attacking us, so will bigger ones. In the end it's a win for us. And then a win for the kids as more people side with us and come here to donate to the cause and to Childs Play.

My thoughts exactly. The kids will benefit no matter what happens regarding the video game or how this community is seen. We might all be indoctrinated or turned to husks and it wouldn't matter.
For us, this will help gain some media attention (as it already has) which will be the best tool in getting Bioware to respond, as well as helping people take a more balanced approach to the discussion regarding the endings. Not only the media but also posters here.

This was a good action regardless of how you look at it.

I did $30. Sorry guys. I have to pay my car tag and U.S. taxes this month. Next paycheck, will come down heavier.

Watch EABioware soak up the good press this might get by going "Oh we love our fans so much so we will match their donations".
I mean, that's amazing for the charity but it would be kind of humorous. :P

Don't apologize, everything helps and $30 is not something to spit at. Thanks for the contribution.

Keep up the pressure guys! Spread the word, were stagnating at 150ish people and 2.7k. Gotta keep those donations coming.

Don't worry Dargus, 30dollars is WAY more than we honestly expected people to donate. The generosity of the community is outstanding, you've done you're bit, now just spread the word across the net like wildfire.

Hold The Line!

I think it would be a really decent thing to do.  Which is why I don't see it happening.  It's a wonderful thing to hope for...but..yeah.

Pathetic. Using sick children to get a selfish message out so people will change your video game because you don't like it. You're pathetic and an embarrassment to not only Mass Effect fans but to the human race. Its like a politician kissing a baby or visiting a disabled war veteran for a nice photo-op to get votes.

I've been tweeting updates to Casey, Chris, Jessica and @masseffect almost hoping for that kinda of reaction.  Hell maybe one of them will donate to the cause out of their own pocket...

ETA: Ignore the poster above me do not respond to it!

That's a good idea.  They should at least be aware of the movement.  Good thinking.

Do not respond to the troll ladies and gentlemen, we know what were doing and why and it's certainly not for those reasons. Were doing something GOOD, yes it may on the off chance grant our movement good PR but it could very well do nothing, we all know this yet we donate because those kids deserve it. Keep donating everyone, Keep spreading the word and don't let anyone cause cracks in our armor.

I think you're missing something very significant young man. I suggest you settle down the cynical venom-filled attacks and make a donation to a good charity.

Guys I seriously suggest not engaging at all and reporting anything offensive. You can not reason with such people and an appeal to a better nature is, much like ME3's endings, doomed to failure.

In the past 5 day's I've seen people with all sorts of banners, The American Fleet, The Canadian's, The European Fleet, Australia! We've all come together because we aren't happy with the ending, but have turned that lack of satisfaction into good will and we're doing a good thing!. I am proud of every single one of you!. You all deserve a hand shake and a hug!.

Exactly. Anyone sending this to the same "journalists" that bashed us not long ago?
