There has also been a change in the way the media is viewing us as well. The media are the folks who came up with the term "Paragons of Protest". Almost universally we are recognized as going about our protest "the right way". I love it and I am humbled by everyone here supporting the cause and helping raise awareness!

Oh - and thanks to the people quoting and liking my 50K Captain Kirrahe speech. Thanks! *big grin*

Last but not least -

Hold the line!

Gotta admit that speech was stirring

I believe we can thank the inimitable Erik Kain of Forbes for the name

I was there.  And I remember being blown away.  There are no words to describe how this feels.

I still remember how amazed we were when somebody donated 1,000 all at once. Like, "Holy cow, what a generous person! Doubt we'll see anything much bigger than that come through."

And then came the 10,000...

Whoever started this, pat yourself on the back. This is very cool. It's civil. It makes a point. And no matter what it helps children in hospitals. Count me in.

Gotta help those blue babies, no matter what ;D

And the half human half turian babies.  And the straight up human babies.

Also the Krogan children! Cause there's sure going to be a lot of them for those of us who cured the Genophage [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]
Life's been crazy, so it's been a few days since I've really been able
to check in, but very happy to see that we're up over 60k! Amazing job
everyone!

This is by far the most constructive protest I've ever heard of, and I'm proud to be a part of it.

Hold the line.

Somebody donated 10.000$ for this?

Holy crap. Talk about dedication. I'd like to shake hands with that guy. Or maybe hug him:innocent:

Yea, the 10k donation was about page 60 I think. :) It was epic and there has been lots of guesses about who it might have been. They've stayed anonymous.

:)

I still think it was Seth Green or Jennifer Hale. I sent both of them tweets about the charity right before the donation came through. And it's something that Seth Green would do.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet. Probably so at some point, but it occurred to me since people may be looking for a next step. The forums are pretty well alive as is the Facebook page. Should we think about hitting the Twitter realm a little harder? I know that the Mass Effect page is selectively responding to tweets, but it looks like they're responding a bit more to the positive than they are the negative at the moment...

I love how he sounds so tired.

I know it's just coincidence, but it's exactly how the ending made me feel

Well, he has to occupy himself somehow, stuck on that planet at the ass end of nowhere and plot. :P

Seriously, whoever did that is a saint.

Also, BioWare should be begging Drew Karpyshyn to come back and write a good ending with some closure. Just a thought.

I agree.  I wish he had stayed, but I doubt he would have any interest in coming back at this point.

I´m absolutly sure Mac is absolutly capable to write a "good" ending, just look at the rest of ME3 and you know what I mean. I love Drew, and in combo with Mac = cup of awesomeness. I still think something different is the reason for the bad ending, and not only the writing abilitys of Mac.

Oh yeah.  Definitely not being negative about Mac Walters' writing.  I just think Drew is awesome sauce. Wish he would write more ME novels.

Really? Guess I missed that...

I'd really like to believe it was Jennifer though because then it's like Commander Shepard herself is supporting us.

Could be but I had actually got her to retweet our info a few hours earlier, along with Raphael Sbarge and Kimberly Brooks.

Don't get me wrong it'd be awesome if she did but I almost wanna tell ya'll to shush.  What if Bioware starts to think our speculations are true and punish us by not letting Hale do any more VO work :o

I'd rather give up the endings!
