Hmm, I already feel strange about this, and now I feel even more weird posting this in the (more or less) dead of night. I am conflicted whether to post this here since it smacks of self-promotion. But I thought I would let everyone know that a couple of us did get interviewed by a reporter from GameFront.com this afternoon. I truly hope I don't come off as trying to take credit for any of this, because none of this would have been possible without everyone here working together. In any case, after the... um... @#$%storm in this thread (http://social.biowar.../index/10201641), I thought I'd let everyone know what was coming and really hope everyone is OK with us doing the interview...

Has this been posted yet? Some really nice words about the charity.

Thanks for posting a link to my article, I didn't expect anyone to have even read it yet.

I'm all too happy to detail the wonderful ways in which this community are doing fantastic things, and I was trying to use this article to spread the word to others.

Thanks again for the link, I look forward to seeing just how much we can all do with this donation drive, and I also look forward to writing another article about whatever milestone this community breaks next - be it a huge number for the charity, or getting BioWare to change the endings.

I don't think anyone is going to complain, Unique. Do you know why? Because those of us who were asked, have constantly voiced that this movement is no single person but a collaboration of everyone's hard work. It might seem like smacking of self promotion but we aren't, because I didn't and I doubt you were promoting yourself, proclaiming that it was all you're idea and all you're work. Whoever had the idea is largely irrelvant, the idea belongs to us all and this Interview is what we need. A few people telling OUR side of the story, a true article with our words in it, not forum posts alone. It will do the Charity Drive and movement a wonderful boon. I am sure everyone will understand.

Hold The Line,
~R

Thanks, and sorry I didn't wait for a PM before talking about this Rosery. That thread made me a bit nervous :)

And the SSV Errantry welcomes the alliance with the Blood Raptor Fleet :)

Hey guys, it might be a wee bit off topic but this post pretty much explains eloquently why we all felt so bad because of the ending. WARNING: It's a very long read, but worth it.

I'm cool with it. Though we may be a consensus, we still need a platform to voice our opinions.;)

I couldn't think of better people to do the interview than a few of the ones who have spearheaded the movement through organization of the community.

I think some contributed more than others, so I believe that taking credit for some of the effort and voicing our opinion is a good thing. You DID do a lot for the movement. Id say itd be weird if they asked anyone else.

First off, congradulations on $65,000!

I was reading some of the posts by atghunter in the PR mega-forum and I think he has a piece of advice that we all may benefit from following.

The idea is that a motto, "hold the line" in our example, is not enough and he advocates using/including our actual reasons why we have issues with the game in our signatures and in reply when we bump a forum. It doesn't have to be in great detail but a link to the "what he dislike about the ME3 ending" thread or something like what I have included in my own signature (after seeing it in another BSNer) would really help the cause.

If you do plan on doing this, don't restrict yourselfs to the BSN. I think we all feel passionate enough about this and having it included in your sigs on other websites would really help increase awarness.

Well, that's about all I have to add tonight,
Hold the line!

P.S. Regardless, I still like the motto

Made a post in another thread asking what might happen if we all asked for a refund. I think, obviously, that the idea has some merit, but I'm only linking it here because its original thread seems to be getting buried fast.

I, for one, would gladly done the $79.99 refund into the Charity, to which I already donated. If only to make the point that I would rather give my money away than support a company that behaves in a manner that I don't like, or allow them to keep money for a product that doesn't perform to expectations.

Would anyone else be interested in giving this a go?

I would also like to elaborate on unique's post a little while ago, we are definitely listening to your opinions as well! Throughout any contact we have with media we do our best to represent the thoughts and feelings of the entire movement, not just ourselves. Continue to voice your opinions on the movement, what we could improve on, how we could go about doing it, and anything else you may be concerned with!

On a slightly unrelated note, I have decided to now end every post in a manner not unknown by followers of Chris Priestly's posts.

Unique, Rosery, I'm totally fine with you guys having gotten interviews. I think it's great, honestly - helps to get our message out there, and they couldn't have picked better people to talk to. I can't imagine anyone will be upset. ^_^

Hold the line, everyone!

(In other news, Soviet Poster #2 is incoming..as soon as I figure out text placement. -_-)

I posted this in that thread, but I'll post here as well because I think it is topical (quoting myself):

Rather than asking for a refund, I would like to challenge EA to
"match" our Child's play donation when the time runs out on the current
chip-in charity.

1 ) this would be a fantastic PR move on EA's
part and would show that they are paying attention to our desire to turn
our frustration into something positive.

2 ) It would benefit
the kids, and help motivate more people to join the drive to raise
funds. We have a lot more members of DemandABetterEnding than we do have
contributors to the charity (as fantasic as 65k sounds, imagine if all
39k of the facebook members donated just 4 dollars each!). I know not
everyone can donate, but having a 'competition' between us and EA would
be a healthy, positive thing, rather than a spiteful one.

Just a thought.
