That's the best analogy I've seen so far - now I can explain it properly to non-gamers.

Just chipped in some goddamn' dollars.

Finished the game yesterday. I knew some people disliked the ending so I was prepared for the worst. It wasn't THAT bad but it sure as hell could've been a lot better.

Me? I would prefer an ending involving a planet covered in pearl white beaches, swinging palm trees and my love interest of choice dressed in something else than those goddamn' skintight suits everyone is wearing. Waves breaking up on a downed reaper wreck a ways further down the beach. That's pretty much all the closure I really need

Anway, love the idea of sending a message to Bioware by donating to a charity. Hold the line!

About the cockroach analogy: That's pretty much the best most concise metaphor I can think of to tell non gamers why the ending hurts so much. I've heard a Star Wars example that also works but it's more in paragraphs than one simple line.

Seriously I have a weak stomach. It wouldn't just ruin the experience. I would be physically ill.

I LOVE THAT POSTER.

Are you only making Soviet style ones, cause I'm currently trawling the interwebs for a Shepard picture that would fit into a General Kitchener/Uncle Sam "Your country needs you" style poster... can't think of any moments where Shep points towards the "camera" though. 

Edit: just realised this would be infinitely better with Kirrahe. "Kirrahe needs YOU! ...to hold the line."

Join the Retake facebook account, make comments on Twitter, send Bioware an e-mail outlining your disatisfaction (civilly), and earlier a lot of people were actually mailing Bioware physical letters about the end. I know I did, the address is somewhere earlier in the post, I'm sure I could find it if you're interested.
