I know it must have been Joker who donated 1 cent.

While the article does admit they are listening to us, it more dismisses us i feel. Listen to how he says "i support the teams artistic choice" which for normal games i would be behind but when you've made games that make you a part of the story its not really your choice to end it like that you give multiple endings so the player chooses their paths.

I dont know that article just doesn't seem right for some reason it feels very dismissive, and i have to ask them one thing, no more "thank you for your feed back, we're listening" I mean they've handed out responses like that on just about anything.

I'll hold the line even if its getting tougher

edit< the one from the co founder not the forbes one, forbes our best allies in this it would seem

All according to my plan, muahahaha

Sadly though, this does not work when upped to the "Give $1 make people spend $99 to balance it out" variant of it :bandit:

And once again our friend Erik hits the nail on the head. Once again a great article. Especially loved the bit at the end: "As far as Muzyka’s apology goes: It’s better than nothing, but any apology with a “but” at the end should be taken with a hefty spoonful of sea salt. After all, when has “I’m sorry, honey, but…” ever worked "

I kind of felt the same way reading it. Maybe I was reading too much into it, but it seemed to me a polite brushoff of the situation and a "pat on the head". Doesn't make me mad, just a little dejected.
I just hope their artistic vision is not compromozed by something that causes the end to make sense, or fit the spirit of the narrative. I'm certainly not going to be getting myself invested in another of their projects if this is the dismal wrap-up I can expect.

Well enough moaning, back to holding the line!

I need to apologize to everyone here. I made an extremely rude post about one the producers of BioShock who has said he would be sad if we succeeded.

Stanley Woo rightfully called me out on it. My feelings do not justify personal attacks.

By the way...did anybody notice that we've made it to the Mass Effect 3 entry on Wikipedia??

"Displeased fans organized an internet campaign called "Retake Mass Effect" to demand a better ending to the game, part of which includes a charity drive for the organization Child's Play. The drive has raised over $70,000."

I wonder if someone named JeeWeeJ put it there <_<  sneaky

Its okay, we all have our limits we are human after all. I must admit with the amount of trolls, suporters of the other side who can;t have an arguement without useing the words stupid and moron to those who do not care for the endings. I myself have been very tempted to just flame out those others, expecailly with the postings of bioware and other gaming sites,
But we have to hold the line we can win this war, we won't forget what we've put into this seris and how much we love it, and the children we must remain strong for them. No matter the darkness we shall find the light in eachother we we stand tall and hold our heads proud against the reaper now known as Bioware stand firm brothers and sisters

WE SHALL HOLD THE LINE !!!

It's hard to stay civil with the avalanche of negativity that's come our way. That said, if it was as bad as you say Woo did the right thing. Kudos for swallowing your pride and apologizing.

BTW, was that BioShock producer ragging on the whole Retake movement, or just us?
..'cause I can live without another Bioshock game in my library.

hold the line!

Is there a plan for getting our name out there? For this to work, we need more support, and more importantly, to show how our dissatisfaction is being turned into a positive. I'm just curious how we're recruiting that support. I had to google this petition to find it. I will try to post links to this forum and the Facebook page where I can.

You can get a sig like some of us have for one thing. Also, I bet if we hit over 100k donations it would really create buzz.

I finished my recruitment poster that won't help at all. Sorry. I think the media coverage we're getting is the best way to spread the word. If we all try to comment and defend our position in the comments of articles (as we've been doing anyway), it'll sway people to our side. Maybe.

$76,690 donated by 3921 people = $19.56 average per person.

Nice.

I'm not sure about Dr. Muzyka's statement. It seems like all he is saying is that they will help clarify the endings with new content. Not actually change them.

Will be interested to see if this actually helps.

I think the poster needs something about the movement. Taken out of context the poster doesnt make sense I think. We could add a hashtag or Retake Mass Effect as fine print on the bottom to somehow draw attention to us. Just my opinion.

What I dont understand is people that are against out movement. Like, If you like the endings that much - just keep your version of the game. They were already released, theyre not gonna disappear. Nothing is gonna get taken from you, youre not losing anything.

I guess some people just want to go against something for the hell of it.

I honestly just want the Normandy's predicament explained. Even if they don't change it, I want to know why. I can (although I hate this phrase) head cannon the rest with the indoctrination theory. But I have to know if/why my crew is stranded in the middle of nowhere.
