I honestly just want the Normandy's predicament explained. Even if they don't change it, I want to know why. I can (although I hate this phrase) head cannon the rest with the indoctrination theory. But I have to know if/why my crew is stranded in the middle of nowhere.

They get to populate a whole planet :P I guess its sort of a "Noah's ark" concept.

Suddenly my head is filled with the horror of inbreeding...

/hides

Also, am looking for more money to donate. Can't promise anything, but am looking. Hopefully the fund will break 100k. :D

30 odd people (and that's pushing it since alot of them probably died on impact) could never populate a planet. Especially when a good portion of them are aliens.

Asari can mate with other species. Also, from the romances seems like most of the other aliens can mate with humans. No krogans on board. Adam and eve are just two people yet they *supposedly* are where all of the humans came from (thats a lot of lovin).

Yeah I know, all of it is highly unlikely, but im just speculating, as all of us are..

That "apology" article was awful. It made me feel almost as bad as the ending.

Does BioWare simply have no concept of Capitalism? If the fans do not like your product - you will not make any money! Who cares if they give you constructive or destructive feedback?? You are only going to listen to the "good" feedback?

Hooey.

I am sooooo glad I am already boycotting this company. And, I will continue to -

Hold the line!

I didn't really think Dr. Muzyka's blogpost/article/statement felt like an apology or anything. It feels like he's attempting a peace offering, while at the same time insulting us- a kinda 'we're listening, and some things will be explained, but we're happy with the game and the critics love it, so obviously you're wrong' feeling when i read it. Maybe not what he meant, but that's the feeling i get from reading it.
Erik Kain's article was awesome (as usual- i have become a real fan :D) and he wrote pretty much what i felt when i read Dr. Muzyka's statement.
They want the videogames-are-art-artist label, but not what it actually means to be an artist. It's like they want their cake and eat it to... AND show off to others that they have it.
*shrugs* maybe i am just reading too much into it.

Ah, well I'll be standing here, holding the line and hoping for 78k today! Would be awesome if we managed to reach 80k :D

I agree with all of this :)

And... at least the kids will get a good ending no matter what!

I think the poster needs something about the movement. Taken out of context the poster doesnt make sense I think. We could add a hashtag or Retake Mass Effect as fine print on the bottom to somehow draw attention to us. Just my opinion.

How's this?

You might try what I'm doing now... Start all over again, beginning with ME1! I've forgotten how good (and sometimes BLOODY HARD!) that game is. The Mako and elevator parts don't bother me at all at the moment. :) Storytelling is a bit clunky, but I still like it more than ME2. (but thats because I'm more into RPG's than shooters)

And it'll take me a looooong while before I get to the ending of ME3.. B)

Returned my PS3 copy(I didn't open it yet, was going to for trophies, because ya know I love the series, sadly I can't return the PC copy as well) soon as that refund clears my bank looks like this charity is getting $60 from me. That totally half baked statement from Ray felt like a slap in the face to me, made me feel even worse.

I had planned to get some bioware points for MP when I get paid on the first, looks like that's goin' bye bye too. Sorry, I'm just mad now, before I was indifferent, but that just ticked me off.

I've come too far in my second playthrough (right before Cerberus HQ).  It would be impossible to go back at this point.  Too much heartache.  Damn you BW!

I know this sounds stupid...or impossible even...but don't let those crappy 10 minutes ruin your perspective of 3 otherwise great games. I was really pissed off after my first ME3 playthrough.. But my new ME1 playthrough is  all the evidence I need that these are truely fantastic games!

Maybe just...stop playing when you reach the rocket launchers?? (as that farewell part is just....awesome.. In a sad kinda way...) Just imagine the rest?? :?

Well, last link for today (sorry for the spam!), there's a new BBC article on Ray's statement. And our charity is mentioned once again!

Good night peeps (or morning/afternoon wherever you are ;))

Chipped in $5 because that's my usual threshold for DLC. Bioware, I am not mad. I don't even mind the starchild. He isn't necessarily a bad turn of the plot. However, to only provide three choice of ending? After all the other hard and wonderful choices we were forced to make in the entire series? Disappointing.

I miss a "Hold the line" in this picture... otherwise great, if not awesome work :-)

Heh, I was gonna put one, but Hackett's little speech fit so well I figured it didn't need one. Besides, we can have more than one slogan! ^_-

DAT POSTER. It graces my office wall now! I've had some odd looks [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/cool.png[/smilie]

Awesome! Glad you like it. ^_^

I LOVE THAT POSTER.

Are you only making Soviet style ones, cause I'm currently trawling the interwebs for a Shepard picture that would fit into a General Kitchener/Uncle Sam "Your country needs you" style poster... can't think of any moments where Shep points towards the "camera" though. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/unsure.png[/smilie]

Edit: just realised this would be infinitely better with Kirrahe. "Kirrahe needs YOU! ...to hold the line."

Glad you like it. ^_^ Not just Soviet ones, no - my next two in fact aren't at all based on the Soviet ones, but rather an extremely famous painting and photograph. I just...can't...find...the right source pictures! >_<  If you happen to come across a full body shot of femShep looking as though she's charging toward the camera and waving her squad forward (or shooting back at something behind her), please let me know!. ^_^

Hmm. While I would like tO believe what he said in that article, I also have to recognize that this could very well just be a PR trick. I'm taking this with a very large grain (boulder) of salt. I'm not saying to disregard what he said. Just be careful what you believe. And remain ever respectful. One thing that many of the articles have said is how shocked they are that we are remaining so civil, and constructive. This gives us leverage and power. A calmer voice is a voice that is heard. I believe it was Roosevelt that said "walk softly and carry a big stick". Be civil, but speak words that carry weight and conviction. We are making history. Impacting how people see gamers. People will remember this. Let's make this something that we can be proud of when we hear people speaking about it in the future.

Keelah Se'lai. Hold the line.
~Eirileth

Like I said earlier in this post. Be careful of what you believe. That article felt a bit too double sided to me.
