Nicely played.  I think that deserves another donation for the children.

I think this is an important poll, please vote:

http://social.biowar.../3114855/polls/

Tough one.

My main problem are some arguments of Dr. Muzyka, like the "artistic" aspect of ME3. ME3 is simply a commodity, some parts of making it includes artistic work, but this diddn´t mean that ME3 is "art". My english isn´t good enough to explain my thoughts about it in a proper way, sry... The end of ME3 is technical not good, it´s not a question about the integrity of a group of artists, even if I accept his ME3 is "art" argument.

Also this part: "
This is in addition to our existing plan to continue providing new Mass Effect content and new full games, so rest assured that your journey in the Mass Effect universe can, and will, continue. "

It´s a little bit offensive that Dr. Muzyka really think that I buy anything from BioWare before the ending is fixed. I don´t need "more time" with Shepard or "more closure" (it´s a joke there was no closure in ME3), I need a ending wich makes sense and respects the mainmotives of ME.

This poll shows a little bit the disagreements between parts of the communtiy and Dr. Muzyka.

Edit:

Please don´t get me wrong I respect Dr. Muzyka and his opinion. :)

Not sure if I missed a discussion on this during my slumber, but I just woke up and read this:

http://www.gamefront...lam-the-ending/

Pretty welcome, but unsurprising information. It certainly felt like a unilateral design decision, and it looks like that despite his denial these statements did really come from a staff writer. If one of them has broken rank and said this I can imagine there was a lot of bad feeling among the junior staff when they found out how things would end and they feel BioWare are allowing them to be unfairly blamed. I hope they have a nice feeling of vindication at the fan reaction.

Still, very silly career decision by this writer. I hope BioWare keep him about, he's clearly talented and passionate, but chances are he'll be made an example of.

Even if this is legit (which I think it's not), it would be a sad day for gaming to fire that guy for being sensible and honest, while simultaneously backing up another writer for outright lying to the fans and disregarding the opinion of his peers.
Not to mention the huge damage he did to the sales of ME3 and the image of the company as a whole.

Whoever calls the shots there should think hard about wether that's really the message they want to convey.

Hey everyone - good morning. :)

I would like to reiterate not to feed the trolls, (yes, I broke my own rule once yesterday! oops) just ignore their posts and continue to motivate each other and share stories of inspiration and cool things about the charity drive and the hope we have that BioWare will do the right thing and fix the ending mess.

Hold the line!

Melicamp - I think Metathron was doing the "ignore" thing there. :)

You know - like when you say to someone, "forget I said that" and they reply, "said what?"
kind of thing hehe.

Hold the line!

If this is true, and it seems like it is, then most of the Bioware writers are probably happy about what we're doing. They didn't have a say the ending either. I hope this guy doesn't end up getting fired.

Hold the line people, for as long as it takes.

I think the ending indeed shows that thats exactly how it happened. I think it kind of explains why there is not a lot of dialogue or commentary in the ending except for the grandfather, which could really be anyone's voice.

I believe that no one in their right mind who had spent a lot of time on the series to make it what it is likes the ending, but they cant speak up perhaps due to their contracts? Who knows. But that artice just hits the nail on the head when it says that its a result of a breakdown and the works of the lead and Casey. God bless bioware if they patch this wrongdoing and maybe lay off Casey or something for making a colossal mistake like this. (Yes, Im kinda heating up about it, dont hate).

They should change the star child to make him look like Casey and say "It is I, who made this ending, Shepard" and then you get to shoot him in the face!

I will be back to being my good ol paragon self in a minute. Sorry about that.

I never said this to anyone before, but... on my first playthrough I went a few steps to one of my three choices. I was grinning, thinking "oh, of course, you're trying to fool me, Bioware. But I got you!" I turned around and shot at the starkid... nothing happend, I shot at various things at the citadel, hoping for a way out of my forced on choice.... overcome the odds, because that's what my shep always does, right?

All I want to say is... I hate this kid... and I want him dead... and I want my hands on Harbinger and want to see him go down in flames... Well, yeah, no unrestricted love for synthetics on my watch.

I am completely okay with EDI, I came to like the geth and understand, almost loved them thanks to Legion even more so when in my game the Geth Commando offered the quarians their help and, as Tali informed me, where actually helping her people, not only claiming to. But the reapers, who diluted countless humans and who knows what races before, they shall know fear, pain and defeat. And I'd want to have my final stand against that self-righteous Harbinger, 1 on 1, if necessary.

I just had that all brought up again, when I read Dr. Muzykas Statement. Sorry to confront you with all this out of nowhere.

Had to flush it out...

Hold the line!

I'd be happy with an ending like that. XD

I seriously doubt they'd lay off Casey, but at least we may keep history from repeating itself in future games.

It makes more than sense when you think about it. I just believe that it was a drunk bender or something. Ive had that before when people disregard your opinions at work and then you turn out right and you get angry for ruining a project that youve loved so much. You just let the world know what you think.

Of course he had to take down the messages and I think hes just sorry for blowing off steam like that. I personally respect him for doing this and It just shows that a team effort should STAY a team effort till the end.
