Did anyone else see this great Gamefront article about the Charity? I feel like my mentioning of it is getting lost in the chatter. Apologies for repeating myself! =P

I personally was very impressed by the charity drive and proud of all the community members who participated. Thank you for the good thing you did for the kids.

Now, let's stop it with the conspiracy theories, baseless accusations, and blame, and, if you guys still want to do something constructive with your movement, then do something constructive with it instead of wallowing in something that capped off a "very good thing to do." You guys should be proud of yourselves.

Indeed, I was hoping we'd reach $100k, but $80k is nothing to shake a stick at, especially considering that these things are usually lucky to reach $10k-$20k.

Oh, I've been keeping my eye on you guys for some time. ;)

That...

is actually strangely comforting.

And strangely urging me to engage my Stealthfield again :bandit:

Couldn't resist sorry^^

For now I will simply link my banner to Childs Play directly and hope that they keep getting some support. I may not be happy about them asking us to step back but I respect their decision.
I Supported this Cause because I loved their way of helping Children.

Still I am glad to have met all you lovely people here, while I was down about the ending you sure lifted me up.

Thanks for everything and:

"Hold the Line, fellow Paragons of Protest."

Don't let your passion be smeared by some dissenters!

Greetings everyone,

I wanted to convey to each and every one of you that I have nothing but respect and admiration for the charity drive you put together. Raising $80,000 is fantastic and regardless of how it ended, is an amazing accomplishment. You should all be proud. I know I am.

Thank you.

Ok, here's a preliminary of the requested Garrus banner - I may make another version, but for now, here's one you can use if you like:

Thank you! I used it, wouldn't mind some others but hey, I'm not complaining, I'm just Holding The Line!

EDIT: Booo, to small sig area, it gets rid of my "His name was Marauder Shields, he died protecting us from the ending" Oh well though, one goes away so others may live on.

Which others would you like? I've done about...half?aA little over half? ...of the main characters, and I can easily swap out the text for this text. Or make you one if I don't have that character yet, it'll just take a bit longer.

I'm sure others want main characters first, but after that, if you could do a Maraduer Shields one, that would be totally awesome for me. If not, no big deal, I will be here on the line.

Wait a minute... what happened? Pro-enders complained to the guys at Child's Play and annoyed them enough to shut it down or... was someone else complaining? Why the hell should ANYONE complaining matter in this situation? What the **** does a couple of antagonistic emails, no matter from whom it may be, matter when 80K is raised for charity? Who the hell do these guys think they are?

Pro-Enders not likely. PR for certain groups big groups within gaming would likely cause them to not want to be affiliated with us, not a few measely no name people. You can bet someone or some group big interested in mainting the status quo and painting us as an unfocused minority fringe group had something to do with this.

In any case, the children win, and greedy/evil individuals or groups have lost.

No seriously, thanks for all you've done. Some people need a boot every now and then to remind them to remain civil.

When it started, we thought we'd make a few thousand (single digits).  Then it hit 5K.  Then 10K.  Then by the end of the first 24 hours we had 24K.  Remarkable.  We were all shell shocked.  80K is out of this world. So proud to be a BSNer and a ME fan right now.

Oh my god.  Speaking of which. Totally finished my 2nd playthrough today and got killed by Marauder Shields.  Obviously the worst day ever to finish a game of ME3, so maybe I should have just stayed dead.  :P

Sure, we'll just sit here, quiet and polite, while our opponents destroy charities and dominating every major mass media out there untill nothing will be left of our proud little movement. <_<

Or we can be constructive and continue to find ways to announce our displeasure that doesn't involve roping the media into it and possibly confusing everyone even more. As other posters have said, we should probably wait twenty-four hours before doing anything anyway, give ourselves a chance to calm down. This is frustrating, and it's a good idea for all of us to take a breath.

Thats all we do. Taking a breath, stepping back, calming down and then taking another humiliating slap in the face.

:?

We must do this. In the end people will realize that the fault lies not with us, who are for the most part civil, but with those who are doing the slapping. Even if others don't agree with us, they can still respect us. If we stay calm and polite we shall win out the day, for we shall be remembered positively at best, neutrally at worst, no matter if the endings are changed or not.

I'll do a Shields one, sure. It'll just take a bit longer cause I hafta find a source image, extract him, find a background icon, figure out coloration, etc.

And that's what I'm here for. That, and to occasionally remind folks that there are actual living people behind these BioWare tags and working within the BioWare and EA organizations, people with jobs and hobbies, families and kids, likes and dislikes. And probably ponies!

Also, I like pie. Thanks for keeping things 99.99999999999926% civil, Retake movement. i'll say it again: you done a good thing for the kids.

Yes, the page has disappeared and the organized donation drive has ended. but please don't let that stop you from donating on your own. The organization will still appreciate it all the same. :)

Always other charities out there... Might be a good idea to organize a mass email/pm towards members of the RetakeME3 movement so everyone can be on the ball with the latest information.
