wow, seems like a lot of things have happened since last night! Need to go through the past... 30+ pages to catch up...
So we're no longer to be associated with Child's Play? Makes me sad that people have sent them hate mail and stuff, though it saddens me more that they bowed to it. But i can understand that it's a difficult position for them.
We managed to raise 80,000 dollars and that is amazing, something to be genuinely proud of! You are all amazing, for donating, for fighting for what you believe in and for holding that line.
I will not move, i will continue to stay here and hold the line no matter what happens.
We did good, be proud!

Agreed. I already saw one thread locked for apparently accusations that BioWare and/or EA bought off review sites. Accusations, I might add, that I never saw outside of one, perhaps two points.

I'm just saying because yesterday, I lost my cool and got banned in the whole pro-ender thing. I never insulted anyone, but I think its because I was telling people to get the heck out while I continued to say why the troll was wrong, that was my undoing

But don't you find funny Child's Play reason to stop accepting donations?

It's been roughly 3 weeks since this started, and so far the fans have destined more than 70.000 dollars to charity. Now, after all that money is and after all this time, Child's Play say that they can't accept money from RetakeME3 because they are being to closely associated with the movement; its a thing recognized by fundraiser's policy. Couldn't they notice this or say it when all this started? Why they took 3 weeks to inform RetakeME3 movement on this problem and didn't stopped accepting money before? I'm not being sarcastic as I also said on the other thread, I just want to know why.

yeah well. This is gonna enrage a lot of people, and I want EVERYONE to know that this is a PERSONAL STATEMENT, not an argument or the kind of thing I could say from everyone in this matter, and that I think they would agree. So before saying, I WANT TO MAKE CLEAR THAT IT'S JUST MY OPINION

DemGeth, ok, I can understand that. However taking time to think about the repercussions and if they were starting to bee to clossely asociated with the movement DIDN'T STOPPED THEM FROM ACCEPTING THAT HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY. They could have said "Hmm ok, wait we'll consult if this is correct and doesen't entesr in conflict with the actuial fundraiser's policy. In the meantime we will put all the money you want to destiny on a separate acount. If your cause doesen't enter in conflict with any rule or policy we have we'll accept your money. If it does enter in conflict then we will refund anyone who wanted to gave some money, we will be sorry but thank you anyway".

I admit I'm not really an expert on how this charity associations work so If I said any atrocity I will be delighted if anyone can explain me why it has been the way it has been for the three pasts weeks and not a more organized and coherent way.

How odd and disappointing.

That such a large movement of vocal people who obviously are heard both on this forum and through the charity would feel they were robbed of an ending they bought and yet not a peep from people about it on the forums?

I would imagine we'd be flooded by now with "Where is mah endingz??!!?!!" threads or something.

Same with the alleged people demanding refunds.

It's easy to lose track of threads with all the negativity from the anti-retake threads burying long lasting threads, but I haven't seen any of this. And I find it hard to believe in both those parts of the CP statement happened with absolute silence on the forums.

If I've been missing the demands for the paid for ending and/or refunds, please let me know.

That said, I can understand and don't blame CP for their shift in policy. They have been an amazing charity. I am sure they have their reasons. Saying they didnt want to officially not "be the cause" was enough for me.

Just didn't think it was their place to speak for Jamie. The fact they wanted to put that out there themselves left a bad taste in my mouth.

It won't change my opinion of the CP charity nor my holiday donations to them, but it just makes me sad because all this just opened the door for nastiness from the anti-retake posters.
