I just wanted to post this here :

"Full Paragon (http://www.fullparagon.com), a new Mass Effect fan-initiated fundraising campaign, soared off this morning with a brand new site and a cheeky name that gives a nod to the "paragon/renegade" actions and choices players face in the game series. One of the organizers took the time to discuss her hope to unite Commander Shepards everywhere with a new fundraising campaign.
"We're definitely inspired by the generous fans who raised money recently, but we're not planning to recreate ReTake," responded Anabel Martinez, one of Full Paragon's organizers who is also a passionate Mass Effect series fan. She's referring to the ReTake Mass Effect 3 campaign that was brought to a halt after raising over $80,000 over the past 9 days for the popular video game charity Child's Play. "Some fans are looking for a place to follow in the footsteps of the ReTake campaign."
Is this another effort for, as critics proclaim, fans to "whine" about ME3's ending?
Anabel disagrees. "The Mass Effect community has always been giving, from gaming marathons to Facebook fundraisers." She, like many other fans from online communities like Reddit and Bioware's own Social site, are eager to find another way for fans to contribute to a good cause.
The Full Paragon campaign reached out to Kids Need to Read, a charitable foundation started by author PJ Haarsma, actor Nathan Fillion, and Executive Director Denise Gary, which focuses on supporting children's literacy.
According to their website, "Kids Need to Read works to create a culture of reading for children by providing inspiring books to underfunded schools, libraries, and literacy programs across the United States, especially those serving disadvantaged children."
"Mass Effect is a story-driven series with an incredibly rich universe. The trilogy has attracted a passionate following of imaginative, giving people who want to open up exciting new worlds to children through books and stories in the same way Mass Effect did for the players. We're elated to be supporting Kids Need to Read, for their efforts in raising children's literacy all across America." "
Glad to see the positive energy is still out there. Good on ya. I'm very appreciative that you (and others) took the time to and language to distance yourselves from the current Retake charity. I think that's a very good thing. Keep up the good work, guys.
I support this.
Hold the line!
