Crazy awesome work there Melicamp! and I'm glad something as cool as Full Paragon grew from this, hopefully they'll carry a cause-less version of what this started into the future. I ordered a poster with some of Drow's great artwork on it a while back and the drive ended before it's even arrived.

I have to say, that this is really the only thing that peevs me.  They didn't have to use the word "high".  I know people make silly writing mistakes, but that one had a big effect on morale over here.  I don't believe that the number could possibly be legitimately "high", but their definition and mine could be very different.

I believe this is an extention of how bad its gotten since the announcement, and again i apologize for my earlier response =/

Yeah.  Like I said, we're all a little defensive this morning.  And to be fair, we've had our fair share of legitimate trolls so we're usually on the look out.

I'm still amazed that vocal people online make a statement through an online charity but haven't flooded the forums with threads about how they were robbed, want their money back, etc etc.

You'd think we'd be flooded with these sorts of threads if there was indeed this "high number" of people.

I'm saddened, am fine with the overall policy change, question the reasons and worry that this gut punch is slowing down the outcry against the ending.

I second this!!

I would gladly donate to help make up for any supposed refunds to bring us back to a completely legitimate 80k.
I honestly wonder if there is any way we can do this?

Is there any way - any way at all - to get a final accounting of where the RME charity drive's dollar amount is now, after the "large numbers" of people demanding refunds? I would like to know how much as been lost from the overall $80k and have that number published to the community so that we can make that amount up on our own as individual contributors.

Exactly, if they were out there, then they would be here as well.

As for me, I'm still trying to wrap my head around CP's decision... but I guess they can do what they want to.

Probably not possible.  I don't know when the cut off will be for refuding donations anyway.

Exactly, if they were out there, then they would be here as well.

As for me, I'm still trying to wrap my head around CP's decision... but I guess they can do what they want to. 

I understand the decision, I'm just confused why they felt they needed to smear us on PA to avoid looking like jerks. Especially when Tycho says he supports us.

 Well, it's past time worrying about the thing that's done. Everyone can still do good, and if CP's your thing everyone can still donate anonymously. Personally I threw in a couple bucks to Full Paragon, they need a boost to get started.

Probably not possible.  I don't know when the cut off will be for refuding donations anyway.  

PayPal provides chargeback support for 60-90 days i forget. Banks provide for up to 1 year.
