Okay so far

1. Deviant Art contest based around the theme of the Retake movement and new endings, need ways to set this up and get the word out, but art speaks loudly, lord knows the art community is MASSIVE. Get some of that on our side and haha wow!

2. A poster contest is also awesome and then the winning poster could be printed out by devoted members and set pinned up around town. (Minus my town, were hip deep in snow, paper kinda gets soggy and torn apart, do`h.)

3.?

Cmon guys, you're gonna make me do all the work again aren't you =P

I do have a suggestion that sort of adds on to the Art Contest. For those of us who are not artistically inclined (I have been known to mess up stick figures), why not allow a short story of some kind that revolves around the Retake Moment or their Shepard or whatever strikes the writer's fancy. Setting up a Retake on DA would be pretty simple and you could probably get the word out on the Retake Facebook page as well as the website (there was one, right? I could have sworn I saw it a few days ago)

Anyway, that's my two cents. I haven't really actively been posting here all that often, but I have been lurking for a while now. I have to say that I've been really impressed with the way things have gone so far. Kudos to all of you!

Ah! I like that.  Like a "Better Endings" story contest?

This is also a reminder that we have a very specific definition of "troll" in our forums, and it doesn't mean someone who "disagrees with me" or "argues with me" or "says something I don't like." The term is reserved for those who intentionally make outlandish hyperbolic posts, usually on a controversial or sensitive topic, for the sole purpose of provoking an extreme reaction.

Indeed. Calling someone a troll is often, in itself, trolling. Let's keep things civil.

No, it is not. but it is name-calling and not permitted in our community, according to our Site Rules.

Don't worry Mr.Woo, we'll keep things civil. We don't want to bring you're ire down on our heads. I don't know if you've seen but despite the intent of this thread, we wished to thank you and you're higher ups at bioware for permitting this thread to remain. No matter what happens you have our respect and deepest gratidude for this. Thank you.

Agreed. Thank you Mr. Woo and thank you're higher ups from for letting this thread stay.  I would also like to thank you and your coworkers for being great mods, while everything is going on.  People have different view points about ME 3, but one thing is clear, we all really do care about this great game.
Thanks again,

As far as the "wearing T-shirts to PAX" idea goes this is all I have to say...

QUICK! Someone whip us up a shirt with Marauder Shields on both sides, with bold lettering that reads "Never Forget!"

I thought there were designs already out there, yes? But I'm sure they're 50 f*cking pages back now.  Please tell me someone saved those.

I remember seeing a poster design with to that same effect, I cannot remember seeing a T-shirt design, perhaps there was one that I missed though.

REALLY REALLY REALLY WISH... That I saw this yesterday. Heard some whispers in the wind... Asked a question... Was wrong question to ask a simple yes or no and true reason turned into people taking a question as fact... Anyways good to know, thanks!

@Leo

Hey don't worry about it, we are all in this together, everyone of us is a unified voice. If one voice gets tired, you gotta take a breather and the rest of us have to yell just a little bit louder. (Or in you're case a lot louder =P) to make up for it.

It doesn't have to be art, it can be a funny comic made up of screenshots, practically anyone can do that, and it can lead to hours of laughs. Usually, on dA, what we do is a talented artist offers a custom piece of art as prize to the winner of the contest, so if we are doing a contest like that, we'd need to find contributors, for prizes.

Were making progress guys, these ideas need to be fleshed out of course but we'll do that this weekend. I promise you by monday those you have voiced to be "Leaders" here for lack of a better word, I know were not promise, WILL have something decided based on the ideas YOU have come up with. We will not ignore those who support us and this movement. Also look down a few posts, Im about to write about why were not really urging another charity at this time.

Ending the charity was a bad idea. Anti-Retake people are already using it as fuel and Ray didn't say anything. He said people wanted closure (I would rather have the plot holes gone) and then brings up 75 critics gave it perfect scores. All he did was just say typical PR bullsht.

For T-shirts the group PAX East Platoon has shirts for sale.

@Rosery99 I usually read the PR thread but upon entering the Bioware forum found out a lot happened since yesterday morning and hopped into this one because to figure out what happened and wanted to say what a Good Job you're doing at not being distracted!

I believe that everyone needs to realize that the media craves DRAMA, it's how they get attention etc. That being said we experienced and are experiencing the downhill part of a rollercoaster. But a rollercoaster gets done pretty quickly.
I for one will not falter, will not stop writing and I will "Hold the Line" (corny I know, but will see this though)

75 critics of reviewesr that even don't finished the game... (I know at least 2 or 3)... And I don't want to talk about the ones that don't even know the first 2 Mass Effect...

Yeah sure... Like you said : PR talk...

And review, it's like art : all subjective and subject to personnal taste...

Hold the line!

JPR out!

As for the "Better Endings" contest, this could probably be promoted elsewhere. I know people from the character threads I frequent (Kaidan and Garrus mostly), fans have already done some amazing work.

Why another Charity is not wise at this time:

I know everyone wants to do good and a charity seems like a good idea but there's many reasons why this won't work, at least not well and it won't help our cause either, I will list them below.

1. It will lack the impact of the first one we had, it was spontaneous, out of the blue and utterly unheard of, if we jump on another one it just won't have the same OOMPH that the original had and might end up hurting us more than aiding us.

2. A lot of people are pitching different charities, so if we choose one and not another, many are going to be angry or upset we didn't pick theres, thus fights begin, arguments and everything dissolves, even if I'm wrong I feel the risks far outweigh any rewards we might get, as do others.

3. Alot of charities will hear about this and want to distance themselves with us until the PR blow back is gone in a few months, meaning we'd have to work really hard to distance the retake movement from any donation drive, not exactly what we'd want right now, looks like were giving up then...

Ugh there's more here but I'm trying to do an interview AND keep my thoughts organized here, I'll add to this as I remember the reasons.

There's already like 4000 people plus who organized on this forum in the first WEEK after the endings that will be meeting at Pax, there was a thread about it at one point, lost now though, but I'm sure the organizer got it set up. Trust me Bioware will find no refuge from the movement at Pax.

It's organized under one guy or was back then, it won't be an angry mob, it will be one voice asking the good Doctor for answers for our movement, nothing more, nothing less. No one here is going to drop the civility, don't worry, remember...the reason the movement has lasted this long is because we ARE organized and civil. Yes the organization is loose, with each cell having it's major members but those cells are also communciating. So don't worry ;)
