Friendly reminder, please feel free to join us in multiplayer on origin sometime if you have pc version of course, see the past posts for names. If you like the multiplayer of course. I'm Leondres1 if you happen to do multiplayer and the forums are getting to you.

Also, anyone who is upset of childs play, I know it's hard and I completely understand why everyone is so upset, but keep this in mind. It is because you donated that a sick child in a hospital can have something special. You should all be extremely proud of that. Don't let what has happened diminish that we raised almost $80,000. I respect if people feel bothered by it and do not want to donate to Childs Play again, but don't let it sour what you have done for a child who is suffering.

Keep calm and remain civil, I believe in you guys and gals.

I'm out for dinner with my gf :) KEEP THE PEACE

I would have no problem with meeting up in mp, I 'm just really not good at it.:D

I mean I manage somehow to keep the percentage up, but since I never played any game regularly online before, I think I have deficits in that regard.

Geez, I have trouble beating the MP on bronze, if the squadmates are not any better than I am. I dream of completting in silver once.

@Die

Then come join us later man, were gonna go for gold eventually, Rosery just wants her Asari Adept skin first xD.

Also Bioware should in no way take this as were not still quite intent on Holding The Line, we just want to enjoy what we paid for in some respect, don't take this talk as surrender or us giving up, it is neither and I hope you wouldn't mistake it for that. Cause it would be a big mistake.

@Stanley Woo

Yes we will. No matter how this ends, we have done something good. I know the money I donated may go to buy some terminally ill little kid a book they really wanted to have or a video game. That idea alone brings tears to my eyes and reminds me that there are still good things in this World.

This has been an amazing drive. $80,000! In ten days! Yes we have a message to send, and we'll keep sending it. But if we're finally being heard, then it's done what it was intended to. Remember, I'm sure they keep watching what we post here, so continue the good work we've started!

And let's not forget the children whose lives are going to be immeasurably enriched by what we've done! I've had a neice in the Children's Hospital. Heck, I was there myself a long time ago. And there's nothing more frightening than being all alone in those big buildings, with antiseptic white or faded yellow on all the walls, with nothing to do but listen to the beeping machines and try to act brave while you're secretly terrified they're not telling you Something Important.

What we did will help some people move past that fear, even if it's only for a little while. That's the real good that's come out of all this. Don't ever lose sight of that!

As for Multiplayer, I've been on recently. My feelings for the endgame have no bearing on how awesome about 95% of the series has been, or how fun the multiplayer is to play. Just FIX the ending, and it'll be a home run. A trilogy I'll likely replay long after the multiplayer component is no longer actively followed. :) (Which makes me wonder how to get 100% on the EMS scale once the servers go dark...) Anyway...

My Origin ID is "K1tsudragon" if you want to friend me for MP. The only difference between my forum name and the Origin one is the number 1 where the "i" should be.

Stay positive, stay polite, and stay focused!

And of course...

Hold the Line.

Well, if anyone has the X-box version of ME3, I wouldn't mind paling around in multiplayer with them. Choose the X-box one because, well, I started the fight on X-box and I intended to finish it on X-box. Damn shame how it ended, but that's one of the reasons I'm here.

Anyhow, name on here is the name I use there. No mic yet since I've gone through something like two or three of those wireless ones.

Might have to convince my brother to stop playing Armored Core V though. Bit of humor. I convinced him to join the IGN created team on AC5, make the closest he could get to the N7 (he can't get a straight backed 7, it's slightly curved like the keyboard 7) patch as his icon, and name his AC 'Hold The Line'.

I felt warm and fuzzy.

My goodness..what's this?  Real, in-depth reporting on an issue surrounding the whole ME3 kerfluffle, which calmly goes through the events that happened, covers all sides, and accurately quotes primary sources?

I think we just got hit with a random act of journalism.  Rather rare in the so-called professional gaming press these days.

Gamefront has done a phenomenal job in reporting the ME3 controversy, very much like Forbes has. I've definitely been using the site a lot more now instead of Kotaku, Gamespot, and IGN.

I've seen a few good pieces on the whole situation from Kotaku as well. Can't say I've seen anything from Gamespot, but IGN seems to have thrown a very bias lot into the mix; without citing so much as any of the reasons why the movement feels how it does outside of 'demanding a new ending.'

Last I checked there was a mountain of quotes and statements made prior to the game's launch that told us we'd be getting something other than what we got. As far as I'm concerned, that's what I'm asking for. That they honor those statements.

I for one knew damn well where my money was going to and for why, so I had no intentions of taking my money back from a great cause. I think it was a tiny minority that felt outraged, but I missed the majority of the fallout that happened shortly after the fundraiser was closed.

I'm under the large impression that those that might have asked for any refund were a very small minority that supported the change of ending, but were not counted, or certainly not now, among the members of the actual movement.

Most likely it was a handful of people, if not smaller, that were simply misinformed as to where they thought their money was actually going.

I don't agree with asking for a refund, but what's done is done, and all we can do is make it very apparent that anyone asking for such a thing were not doing so on behalf, or with the support of, anyone in the movement whatsoever.

Pay pal said it was a high amount of complaints. thats why they investigated. They thought they were buying new endings

Link where paypal said that please. :)

A few people argued that if the Charity was going to change it's stance - in the middle of the drive - they no longer wanted to be associated with it, because the charity was caving in to pressure.

I think that is perfectly reasonable.

I have not seen one piece of evidence or proof that anyone demanded their money back, because the only reason they donated was to get the endings changed. That is pure speculation and rumor - space magic. Posted Image

I gave freely and was glad to do so. I gave a bit more than 2% of the total money collected and I am proud of that fact. I did like the positive media attention we got - and I am not shying away from that either. I felt proud to help kids and be disassociated from "whiney, entitled fans".

It was a good thing we did.

So.

If I can break this down correctly.

A bunch of people wish, at the very least, additional material in the ME3 Ending and while we're at it we give charity to kids.

A bunch of people who want the endings to stay the same have 'members' who send hate mail and spread disinformation to a charity for kids.

Right.
At this point the Retake Mass Effect could suddenly start advocating Stephanie Meyer for God-President of Literature and I'd still support them.

As if the ending itself didn't leave a bad enough taste in my mouth.

http://penny-arcade....ake-mass-effect Well Penny Arcade has close ties with the Charity. Tycho wouldn't BS about this. Childs Plays was actually getting flooded with mail asking what the goal was and how much till the new endings would be made. Quite a few people had no idea what they were doing when they gave money. Thats pretty dumb

Just heresay from someone with vested interest in the outcome. That is far from "proof".

I'd like to see the statement from Paypal please and thanks! Image IPB
