Hey, has anyone contacted Bioware and asked them to match us?
I don't believe anyone has, but I wouldn't expect them to say yes or really want to pose that question to them. I mean it's not fair to ask them to support a cause that was initially started because we disagreed with one of their decisions. At this point though I think it has turned into more of a thing to help those kids, at least for me it has.

We are making a positive contribution out of a bad situation, while the people mindlessly flaming the donation drive aren't doing anything to help at all. Be the better person and don't stoop to their overly aggressive level. Let them bash us for donating to charity, it only makes them look childish.
Keep it up guys and spread the word!

I don't think there are any plans to do this. If they offer to do it, that would be great, but as far as I know there are no plans to ask Bioware or EA to match our donations.

I can't believe that people are bashing this on other forums just for the sake of being contrarians. I don't believe the motives of why you donate matter. Surely the recipients of the charity money (the children) don't care why you donated just that you did donate.

This. Frankly im not as pissed about the ending anymore since I donated. Something good came out of this and we should all feel proud for what were doing. Sure BioWare may not listen to us but ME community will be remembered for this, not the raging homophobic spam.

Agreed. And a lot of people expected this kind of reaction from the very beginning. The important thing is we know why we're doing it. It's hard not getting recognition for your good acts, but the very fact that are doing any good at all in this world should be reward enough.

Free bump to further the cause for free DLC to be distributed, using funds that were raised here.
No thanks. I'd rather have 100% go to the kids. If DLC comes out, I hope it's free, but I'm willing to pay for it at this point. Anyways. Donate!
I misunderstood that it was a charity; I'd never heard of it before - just went back and read over it.
Notable cause. I like it.
It's all good =). Maybe when the check is given away it can be blue, red and green hahaha:wizard:

Can you guys stop for one second and listen to yourselves? Do you all have Aspberger's or something? You think that just because there is an overexposed videogame charity involved (how about we cure some friggin DISEASES with our donations?) that what you're doing isn't attempting to hold Bioware hostage?UlricKerensky wrote...

It's not going to work. You should know that it's not going to work.

Exactly. This is where I'm putting my money instead of future non-ending DLC from Bioware. Maybe when they bring out their first DLC we could all donate the price to a charity instead? That's what I will do.idunhavaname wrote...

I don't think there are any plans to do this. If they offer to do it, that would be great, but as far as I know there are no plans to ask Bioware or EA to match our donations.
Perhaps challenge would have been a better word. Maybe they'll do it anyways. I just figure having *someone* match us would be pretty badass.

So you want us to stop raising money? If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. Kids win either way. That's all that matters.

If you had read the other comments, you would have realized that this group has no plans to ask Bioware to match the donations. Nor does their decision on the possibility of an Endings DLC matter. We're supporting a charity because it's something this community believes in. Doing some good. Holding Bioware hostage has nothing to do with it. But thank you for your feedback on the issue.

It would be very cool, but I think it ultimately sends the wrong message.

This. Donating should be entirely voluntary without a need for pressure. If Bioware stepped up and matched it, I'd gain a lot of respect for them. But in no ways do I expect them too, as it would kinda be a nail in the foot.
