I would love for Rosery and UniqueName (and Drow when she/he shows up :) )
to post how they felt when they logged in this afternoon and witnessed the fruits of their labor. :)

Thanks to all of you for starting this up - and thanks to SoH for starting the Retake Mass Effect 3 page!

Hold the line!

Unbelievable response, so proud of everyone!

The more I think about the whole thing, the more angry I become. It's been said, "put your money where your mouth is." Well, my DLC funds are now going towards this charity because that'll give me more satisfaction than the ending.

Well done, OP.

Hold the Line!

It's over 9000. Rah.

Overused jokes aside, this is incredible. I know BSN can be hard to deal with at times, and we don't have the best reputation, but this movement makes me proud to be part of the community.

In an attempt to help bring this cause to a wider community, posted here to Reddit:

http://www.reddit.co...donation_drive/

Not looking for karma, but getting this to the front page would help bring awareness to the charity itself. Feel free to take it for what you like.

According to the sight it was made at 2:08am, so that's $9000+ donated in approximately 16 hours. Good job guys! And now I really do have to leave, I was putting it off for this moment. =]

I was correcting something on the article when I say this in the comments, from a girl named Erika:

I must admit that, as a member of the Retake campaign, it has been an emotional ride. We have been attacked by people for our opinion and drive. Most of us have tried to remain respectful. But seeing an article like this makes it all a bit easier.
I am financially in distress at the moment. I’ve got to ship out for Basic training for the Air Force in three months and I have until then to get my affairs in order as far as bills. But when I saw the other campaigners organizing the charity drive, I immediately jumped on board and donated my eating money for the day (only 10 dollars, but food speaks quite a bit).
No, we’re not doing this for the publicity or using the children. I didn’t know about Child’s Play until this whole thing came about… And honestly, even if this BioWare/EA thing wasn’t going on, I would still donate to it. I would give more if I could. It is the coolest thing I’ve seen in a long time.
I do not doubt that EA and BioWare are working hard to get this organized. And I do respect them very much. Mass Effect as a series is very important to me, and they are the ones who made it.
We will keep holding the line, and we will make ourselves heard. If we don’t get a new ending in the end, who cares. We made our effort and we did something good in the process. A wise man once said: “It is better to have tried and failed, than never to have tried at all.”

She LITERALLY took the food out of her mouth to give. Meritorious conduct right there. If you're reading this, I have advice for you, posted on the website. Otherwise, contact me here. Everyone else, look at that. When people say that we're scum for 'piggybacking' or 'using' a charity, point them there.

instead of donating to charity, wouldn't it have been a better idea to pay a mod team to make your ending? lol oh wait.. most of you are xbox console people nevermind.. continue supporting Child's Play while Bioware works on Dragon Age 3!

I'm looking for a way to combine over 9000, the cake was a lie, and arrow to the knee. I'm failing miserably so far.

This isn't even for changing the ending anymore, okay maybe a little bit, but it's now about taking all of our rage and disappointment and making something good out of it.
