It really is a great drive. I'm glad you guys started it, I had not heard of it before now, but I am now very interested in helping Child's Play.

I don't actually expect them to change the endings either, I can dream though. But, it does feel good to turn the bitter and betrayed feelings into something positive. Very cool charity.

This might be one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time. It's extremely inspiring to see so many people take disappointment over something and rechannel it into something so worthwhile. With all the negativity that has been on these forums, all the rage over the endings to what I felt was an otherwise fantastic game, this group of fans put it on the backburner and did something fantastic. I remain steadfast in saying that I would love to see an expansion or post-game DLC to provide more closure to the series, providing that some sort of TRON gnome isn't hiding in each disc, keeping a secret ending from everyone until the right moment. What's a TRON gnome? I don't know. That's not important. What is important is that no matter what happens in regards to that, this is the best possible ending that could ever come out of Mass Effect 3. Game sites may make sweeping generalizations about you and call you whiny fanboys and fangirls but you're aces in my book and when I get home I will donate and be more than proud to count myself among this group of whiners.

Thats all well and good...but um...can you elaborate on the TRON gnome? Inquiring minds want to know..... <_<

I just assumed a TRON gnome was some sort of mischevous gnome who dressed in neon lights and lived within games and computer programs and such. Listen, I don't have some sort of fancy engineering degree. I'm just going on how I assume technology works. Posted Image

Now all I can think about it the travelocity gnome high as a kite raving in Purgatory bar hahaha :wizard:

Laughed so hard at this

So, what are some other ideas to get the the word out there? Brainstorming session people.

A buddy of mine is a manager at the video game store in town, I'm gonna ask him if I can put a flyer in the window.

Anybody try getting this to any major gaming sites? I tipped of Kotaku, they will most likely ignore it but who knows?

Keep to just Childs Play, no other charitys right now, most ME fans don't have the money to donate to more than one at a time. I know it sucks that we can't sadly.

I tried to tip Joystiq and tweeted a few gaming personalities for various websites like Giant Bomb and Cheap Ass Gamer. Wait and see I guess. Either way what's going on here is awesome and heartwarming!

That's good.  Do you have any other suggestions for gaming sites to contact?

Me and my kids have been talking about this (a good life lesson for the kids, how to take something negative and turn it into something positive) and they all gathered up their little money jars and gave me some money to donate for them.

I am as proud of them as Anderson was of Shepard. :)

oh and
Hold the line!

IGN, GameSpot, G4, GameStop (I can guarantee they'd be more than happy to post something), E3 (anyone seen anything from them?), the platform sites (Sony, Microsoft)... There are tons. Oh, someone go to the http://www.thatguywiththeglasses.com website and see if they can get the game critics there to do a video review and such. Those are some good people.

Reposted this to my personal Facebook account, not something I'd normally do, but I've got friends who are surprisingly well connected in this industry; one of whom has been running a panel for the last three years at PAX out west. If any of them decide they feel like retweeting or sharing this, it might be a nice bump for you.

I also reposted it on the private forum that my company provides. Considering that we do some awesome work with children's hospitals already, I thought it'd be a good fit. I can't say who we are, but we're massive, who knows, maybe it'll drive more people to the site and the charity.

Regardless of how it turns out, Child's Play is going to get a very large donation, and we're going to make a lot of sick children's hospital stays more pleasant.
