As I posted in the other thread:
"Just sent out emails to several of the major publications that are supporting us, informing them of the charity drive.

I'm not self-promoting; I have no stake in the charity and have not provided a single cent.
That said, what's being done is INCREDIBLE. Even if Bioware and EA do nothing, you guys have raised ELEVEN THOUSAND DOLLARS in UNDER TWENTY-FOUR HOURS without need to advertise, getting help from only Mass Effect fans.

That's ****ING INSANE.
Keep up the amazing work!"

I tried tipping GameInformer with the following:

Mass Effect 3 fans have begun a charity drive benefiting Child's Play in order to draw attention to their petition for proper closure in the game's conclusion. The drive has generated over $10,000 in less than 1 day. The charity "Retake Mass Effect - Child's Play" has an official website that can be found here:

http://retakemasseff...ect-childs-play

Fans have been following the charity's progress on the official Bioware forums here:

http://social.biowar...index/9845819/1

Hopefully that will get their attention. It is certainly deserved in my estimation.

Contribution completed; hey this is almost as satisfying as completing a grand ending to ME3!

Just pitched in. I'm upset about the ending and they may not change it, but I just helped some sick kid somewhere...I feel...good. This was an amazing idea.

This is amazing, I heard about this through Tumblr and had to chip in. I mean, even if we don't get a proper ending from this, atleast I can feel good about what I did. It's amazing to see so much money racked up in one day.

Wow... Chris Priestly just posted a very rude remark about the BSN.

And I called him out on it.

Averaging almost $19.00 per person. This is amazing!

As it's starting to look like we may not get any real resolution regarding the endings, I'm glad that this great idea got out there. I'm happy to have contributed, but I'm ecstatic that we hit over 10 grand in a day. That's just awesome. A lot of kids are gonna be able to play some awesome games because of what we've done here, all because we were united by Mass Effect 3.

Added my donation, wish I could give more, great charity.

Hopefully we get some official attention about this.

Was feeling pretty depressed after the ending and somehow making this donation actually made me feel better.

I am not any good at making videos - but one of you talented and creative people should make one - to the "sad" theme music in Mass Effect 3 showing images of children in hospitals with smiles on their faces or something. :P

Hold the line!

Seconded! Or just some kind of video for the cause.

BAM! The Maker's Mark spoke to me. Okay, get a bunch of slips of characters looking up/at Shepard, set to tracy Chapman's 'Change'.

It applies to everyone in the series, as you watch them 'change'. My two cents.

I'd link it if I knew how to link Twitter posts. Jessica Merizan asked if we had any centralized threads here about our theories to the endings. After I told her about the Hallucination thread (link included), Chris responded to her with this: "Chris Priestly[/b] ‏ @[/s]BioEvilChris[/b][/i] Reply[/b] [/i] Retweet[/b] [/i] Favorite[/b] · Open[/list]@[/s]JessicaMerizan[/b] yes, because if the BSN is one thing, it is orderly.#[/s]sarcasm[/b] detector #[/s]thisbabyisoffthecharts[/b]"

I then responded with: "
@[/s]BioEvilChris[/b] @[/s]JessicaMerizan[/b] That seems a little uncalled for, sir. Have you looked at the threads this weekend that are related to ME3? "

Should we consider a BSN forum protest by having everyone refuse to log in or keep the boards going?

Don't we need the forum to keep this going?

Did you mention the nearly $12,000.00 in charity we've all raised in less than a day? Seems pretty orderly/organized to me.

I agree.  And in his defense, he has to put up with a lot of sh*t in the main forums.  This place has become a safe haven from the kind of stuff I have actively tried to avoid since joining the BSN.

Keeping up the momentum is important. Dying down will just hurt us.

Yeah, but it doesn't mean ALL the forums have to be updated...
