I know that there are multiple "sign-on" petitions going around, but as far as I know the Facebook page and this charity are the largest events for you to contribute to! Even if you are unable to donate, liking the Facebook page would be great, and spreading the word would be even better!

This is a pretty nice idea. It manages to make me go from grumpy and sad over such a crappy ending, to still expressing a wish for it to change while doing something positive. I honestly had forgotten how nice it was to bask in internet camaraderie and good deeds.

This feeling that's making my chest tight and filling my eyes with tears? This is the sense of pride and accomplishment I expected to feel in ME3 as I watch my fellow organics band together to overcome impossible odds.

Let me be honest and say I was on here when the charity-drive started and was pretty...dismissive. I mean, it's an internet-forum started charity drive for g-d sake! So I'll be REALLY honest and admit I didn't donate. It's a good cause but money is dang tight y'know?

Then this. Now it's not so much a sense of shame driving me to donate a few bucks but my sheer humbleness at seeing a bunch of Internet yahoos (pardon the not-quite insult) do something so impressive. That's not HOLDING the line, that's straight up beating back the enemy's advance, counterattacking, and encircling them.
Bravo to all of you who could and did do more than I, there's gonna be some happy kids out there!

This charity drive is the triumphant, uplifting ending to the Mass Effect franchise that I was looking for. Thank you, everyone - I hope those kids have some awesome adventures.

Media coverage people. Media. Contact your local news stations. The charity movement alone should turn some heads, and it gets our voices about the ending beyond just internet nerd rage. Bioware/EA can't stay silent if this hits the 6 o'clock news.

Wow, I go out for a bit and suddenly the donation drive has reached a spectacular 24,639 dollars and rising fast! 

The Retake Mass Effect donation drive has helped give this wounded community a sense of solidarity and empowered us individuals to help a good cause. There is no doubt that donating to the Child's Play Charity has acted like a soothing balm for a lot of us fans, but you just have to read some of the many posts here to realize it's coming from the heart.

I feel really happy knowing that not only is a substantial amount of money going to Child's Play, but that each cent is sent by someone who genuinely cares about the effect video games can have on us. That passion gives this action so much more meaning.

I hope this momentum keeps up and the passionate support stays strong.
