I don't think we should remove the references to the endings. The petition isn't plastered over the screen in pink blinky text. You don't have to sign it in blood to donate. It's phrased well and it does a great job at showing who we are as a community. We're here to take all these negative feelings and turn them into a force for good. Places like Kotaku are going to be condescending about it no matter what; it feels like a cop-out to excise our mission statement because some hipster amateur journo got snotty about it.

OK, thanks again everyone, I do have to bug out for tonight.

I plan to start putting links to supportive media on the main page of this thread tomorrow morning, starting with the GameFront article and the Jeremy Jahns video.

Try not to just bump; the moderators dislike that. Although I somehow doubt this is getting locked any time soon -.-

why isn't it stickied in the first place?

By policy I really doubt they can offically sticky this thread right now. But I bet they're casting a kind eye over it though haha

Probably because they are petty and even though this is raising massive amounts of money for sick children, they don't want to acknowledge how we aren't just some vocal minority.

TSE Forums?

They think we're petulent and disgusting for using charity to get what we want.

They forget that these money will go to charity not matter if we get the edning or not.
It is really stupid for someone to question the motives of every people that donated just because you feel its imooral or anything.
Gaming community got more important role than many will ever admit, and they simply cannot believe that a game and its fans can do such wonderous thing.

I feel really out of it... Who is TSE?
And I completly agree with you. I couldn't have said it better myself.

I'm amazed at how this is going. In the short time I've been sat here I've seen $12,000 donated!

I don't care what those idiots on other websites say. You guys are all right in my book.

Maybe it's strongarming, but at least somebody is gonna benefit. I doubt many of those critics have done anything as productive recently.

As far as I know, nobody in BW has said anything like that. I'm sure they're quite aware we're the majority. They just can't say anything until after the game has been released in Asia for a few days. If they do, it will mean a total failure in sales for that half of the globe.

Donated another 10 euros, i just stay home today rather going to eat pizza outside!

I wanna look the face of those "amazing" journalists that called us whinny, arrogant and immature people.

You got your answer right in your face!

United, we will hold the line!

As much as I would like Bioware to respond we do have to be realistic about some things. The **** has hit the fan and they will scramble silently behind scenes to try and decide on how they are going to handle the situation. As of right now we actually had one Biowarian praising our efforts for charity..

So keep calm and hold the line!

Hold the line!

Remember even negative coverage will gain us more traction. Not that we should go seeking it.

+1

It's the unifying factor, and it gives us something to do. It makes us feel like we have a choice in how to react(novel thing that).

Over 27k! I'm toast for the evening, can't wait to see things in the morning.

I made a donation. I would not have donated to this charity otherwise I do believe, and that's horrible, but thank you guys (the community) for making me part of something.

I hope Bioware ...
I hope ...
Because without hope we might as well be machines ... programmed to do what we're told; which is accept this offense against our Shepards.

Not sure which you mean - here's the button I made as a link to the ChipIn site - there's also the banner people have (if you want that, just view image in new tab and replace the part between
[*IMG] and
[*/IMG. And remove the *s of course, either way.
