Lol. Someone just donated 66 cents. I'm not making fun of it, every bit helps us hold the line, I just like to think someone from the forums is messing with your penny obsession OneRabidAnt.

Just got a response from one of Gameradar's people.

Hey man,

Thanks for the heads up. I actually linked to this in today's article, although not by name as I wanted to focus on the topic at hand. I'll keep an eye on this though.

Cheers!
Matt

Hey, the guys over at PA know about this, right? We dropped them a line?

Ben Kuchera (the guy that once joked about Retake Mass Effect 3...) has commented on the charity drive, saying it was classy.

That was very professional of him. And more good news for us

Yes, it was very dissapointing to see lots of people still trolling him about it after the fact to the point of blocking people.

Even if BioWare doesn't bother to do anything about the endings, it's nice to see so many people coming together to raise money for a great charity.

It's a damn shame. Unfortunately, his original post came off as sarcastic and condescending, which resulting in people being idiots. Aren't we supposed to be bringing positive attention to the charity drive?

looks like GameSpot tried to get a word from Child's Play or EA but got nothing back
"As of press time, Child's Play and Electronic Arts had not returned requests for comment."

35,000 good lord...

Its amazing the effect that this fundraiser has had on me. I was sad and a little angry after finishing the game. A lot like how I felt after DA2.

But now I find myself looking at it differently. Even if we do not get new endings Mass Effect 3 is a masterpiece of gaming. It is a wounded masterpiece but it still qualifies as one in my book. Even if we don't get new endings I will love the Mass Effect universe and the time I can have in it in all three games. I will undoubtedly be playing back through all three at some point.

Most importantly even if we don't get new endings we will have helped kids in dire straits enjoy themselves. Retake Mass Effect can never truly say it failed because of that.

I am so proud to be a member of this community and this movement. I have never said that about any online community before and I doubt I will again.

The pessimistic side of me says this will change nothing, but the optimistic side of me is trying to assume control.

To anyone that has donated, pat yourselves on the back.

Beyond that, lets hope we get something that makes sense out of this mess.

You shouldn't look at it that way. Even if BioWare completely ignores the community on this, there's still a lot of money going to a very worthy cause. That makes the whole thing worth it regardless of the outcome.

I tried to donate, but Paypal throws me into error page when I click the chipin link. Paypal is getting overloaded? :P Or is the problem at my end?

It's either your ad-blocker service or that there's this box that's in the upper left hand corner where you have to enter an amount you want to donate. It's easily missed.

Edit: Glad you got fixed it. Thanks for helping out the kids. =]

No, thanks to anyone who came up with this idea. I have vented my angry bile and hatred on other forums enough. This may not fix it but its nice to actually do something good with my frustration that is usually just destructive. :D

I wouldnt call it wounded. Up until the ending ME3 felt like its on par with ME1 just because of awesome gameplay and storytelling jumped in quality way over ME2, but the ending practically makes the game commit suicide in my eyes with shot to the head. After first few hours of denial it made me not even wanting to look at the whole serie for a day. Good portion of time felt wasted during the last 5 years.

Still, I am going to replay the game differently next weekend. It was fun for a two days and one night afterall.
