Is Ashley lacking in conversational dialogue scenes?

Unfortunately, it's not very much.
She says a line of dialogue and there's no conversation wheel scene.
I'm finding this extremely disappointing.
I waited a whole year to get her back and when I do, we don't get to have any big heart2heart talks.
In ME1, she had a lot to say!
I have more extensive conversations with EDI then I do Ashley.
Is this something to do with the fact my Shepherd is female?
I don't know if it's the case, but was Ashley programmed only to interact with a male
Shepherd?
And if the above case is true, does this mean there is no eventuality planned for a platonic "SistersInArms" friendship scenario?

Makers of the game should've known that players were craving for Ashley, or Kaiden if you chose him as your love interest, but now that she's on the ship with me...nothing. Just the random dialogue that Zaeed & Kasumi give in Mass Effect 2, it's very disappointing and it's upsetting me because this was the ONE character that I truly cared for, outside of Garrus (Garrus is just the man.)
But if any GMs or makers of the game can commit on this, it's not just Ashley, but it's the majority of the characters on the ship. Lack of dialogue & cutscenes. I don't like it. I hope dialogue with the characters pick up because these random oneliners from the characters is disappointing.

I'm not all that happy with her dialogues, as it's only about her family or Cerberus and never about her political of religious beliefs. Which I didn't agree with, but they made her an interesting person to talk to.
But the dialogues are there. The only thing she strangely lacks is squad banter on the Normandy. I think she has exactly one banter with Tali, and only very few people will hear it (you must do Tuchanka: Bomb really late)

Read social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/11226572/1 and weep for what could have been.

I'd rather have less convos with Shepard and more of her interacting with other squadmates
Yeah, she comes off like a real loner.
I don't really blame her though. The ship sucks. Best to get drunk and look at the stars.

Yeah, Kaidan, actually has some onboard dialogue with Vega, Liara and Adams, Ashley has none of these. It actully makes sense that her character is so awkard since her original writer left somwhere during Mass Effect 2.

I don't think she has less conversations it's more that she never leaves her area once she's on the ship. Kaiden can be seen on other parts of the ship, it's been a while so I don't remember exactly how many but I do remember he gets a scene with Garrrus and another person where they are seen playing poker.
He also shows up in the Crew quarters, doing mission reports.
It's funny though. I don't hold this against Ash. It's how I would act in her shoes. I get the same feeling on ME3's Normandy as I do when I'm invited to a party against my will/with people I don't care for. I just don't care for it. And she's always been that way. She's only slightly more sociable than Jack (Jack is angry though. Ashley is depressed).

The problem is that there's evidence in the game files (with full voice recordings, even) which shows this isn't the case. There's Normandy banter with other crewmembers like Liara and Tali that either doesn't trigger due to a bug or that must meet some uncommon requisites to trigger. Also, in my playthough and what I've seen on youtube, she's particularly fond of Tali, whom she regards as a little sister. For example, in the case you favored one faction in the Quarian-Geth conflict rather than broking the peace, she's very vocal about it. If Tali died, she will grief and tell you to keep the geth away from her. I think they had plans to have a similar amount of interactions for her in the Normandy as Kaidan, but they didn't have time.
Fortunately, her conversations and interactions with Shepard and other squadmates do not suffer while on missions.

Huh.. I stand corrected then. I knew there was one missing dialogue sequence (the conversation about Shep being revived from death), but not all of that.

Nice theory.
But it doesn't really hold up.
There's a particular moment in the party where Ashley is hanging out with Miranda, Vega and Jacob.
And out of those 3, she only knows Vega, so it doesn't seem likely that's she's antisocial.
Actually, for most of the party, she spends it with Miranda and Jacob, so I assume she was making new friends, considering she'd never really had a chance to meet them before.

Also, there is one time where she'll leave her room and stand infront of the memorial and remember kaidan, as well as talk to tali over the comms, but you have to go out of your way to get that dialogue.
There is also a deleted scene that wouldve been beautiful had it made it in (dont have the link right now), where she asks shepard about the afterlife. She also has bugged dialogue on the citadel date, and some great extra dialogue before chronos for those who were faithful through the trilogy (shame bioware couldnt be bothered to fix them)

She does lack of convos and squad interactions. However she alongside garrus has te most heartbreaking reactions after rannoch if tali commits suicide.

Yeah, I read the dialogue. Great stuff. It's a tragedy it didn't make it in.
Fortunately, a modder was able to fix the bugged dialogue in the date scene, at least.

I don't see why people care about a characters religion. Its the stupidest form of character bashing I've seen. You won't care about Liara and other Asari having a fake religion and always praising a goddess, but care that another character believes in god? Wow.
I mean im christian (icing on the cake for an ash romance), and i have no problem with fake religions in games lol, but its stupid to complain about some one being a religious zealot because she mentions it once.
Ash never even says she's Christian. Her God could be Apollo, God of Poetry for all we know

Yeah, this is a wide another subject to discuss
But regardless the religion,it's just a game, complain of one chracter's just beacause of his/her religion is wrong
The essential is that you need to have fun while playing, just forget about the rest of the world and have fun

you can interpret it however you like. I interpretted it as christianity. My point is anyways that people bash her for being a religious zealot when she only mentions it once
