EDIT: I actually like Liara, but the writing to have a character fulfill so many roles is what I consider "a disaster". No pun intended against those who like her.

it's the truth. while i understand iakus's point, having liara forced on us so much is ridiculous and unnecassary. 

It has more to do with whoever came up with the bright idea to put her everywhere in the game, then the character herself (i dont hate her, but i agree with what shadow is saying)

as i said it has less to do with liara herself, and more to do with bioware's attempt at making her the most important squadmate.

Why couldnt Ashley be shepards second in command? I mean, based on the "Take back Earth" trailer, it looked like she may have been.

Problem is I don't particularily like to head cannon. I prefer to see things in the actual story then have to imagine it.
