I don't know about "hating" her. I can hate "skipper" though, without hating Ashley. Any attempt at cute behavior and pet names, any hint of sentimentality - all of it is unwelcome as far as I'm concerned. Tali is just as guilty at introducing some of this kind of writing too, in her own way.

Don't mind me though. Sometimes I wonder if I'm simply too old for these games.

thats not my point though. The point is it seems people seriously are looking for every possible thing to bash her on. its actually getting ridiculous.

At least Jack doesn't insist on calling male Shep "Boy Scout" all the time. Once is funny enough. Also her poetry is cooler.

Skipper is a technical term for someone who commands a vessel.

She uses skipper as a nickname for her captain in a flirty way. Whats the problem? I dont see one. This argument is stupid. I can understand not liking her poetry, but calling her out on a nickname is just overboard.

And jack recites poetry? If you count nonstop cursing as poetry than by all means knock yourself out

The flirting seen in that, and pretty much every, situation was awful IMO, and it was not worthy of the characters that partook in it. Both Shepard and Tali need a slap in the face. Really, the only thing that saves that seen is James being there for it.

I agree it was neither the time, nor the place for such banter. That's probably why I found it humorous. Plus, after romancing ashley in 1 and then moving on to tali made it even more awkward

Well Shepard being an ass was already established. It was just stupid writing to show that Tali wasn't forgotten. I like the elevator one better.

Actually not sure which conversation this is referring to. 

And in response to OP (who probably isn't reading this after a year of dormancy): Ashley is lacking in conversational dialogue and gets a sad amount of conversation wheel options, but that seems to be the case with everyone in ME: 3. I think they had a strict deadline to get this game out, and the conversational depth with crew members suffered big time as a result
