I've told you before, I utterl despise Ashley. 

I wish there were more options in conversations just to troll her, and I wish we did get a romance conflict of some type, especially if you romanced Miranda.

I would have loved to have had go on another "But Cerberus is evil!" speech only for my Shepard to interject and go on a massive rant about why he believes in Cerberus and why the council and the alliance are incompetent and how Cerberus didn't brainwash him because they didn't have to, and give Ashley a massive "the reason you suck" speech about how blind and hypocritical she is and how her foolhardiness and blind faith absolutely disgust him to the point where he regrets even saving her on Mars.

I don't even think Ash siding with Udina makes sense to begin with.

Seems like that whole quest was tailor made for Kaidan. Udina hires the new spectre because they're "incorruptible" and wanted someone with more integrity than the likes of Saren. Not that Ash is bad, but she isn't idealistic like Kaidan is. Ash was at least moderately Renegade before, and realistic about corruption (like your conversation with Executor Palin in ME1). She always hated Udina anyways. KAidan was defending him and politicians in general back in ME1.

Miranda is one of the most uninteresting characters in the trilogy, along with Grunt, Kaidan, and Jacob. The only thing appealing about her his sexual appeal. 

Ashley > Miranda any day.

They both are easy to manipulate. Kaidan for being as you said.

All you have to do to get Ashley's trust is say pro-alliance ****, show some rank, and say "I hate Cerberus".

I think she's by far the most interesting. Along with TIM, Thane, Legion, and Kaidan to a much lesser extent. Every character, even Ashley, has their narrative value.

Thane, TIM, and Legion are interesting. Kaidan is good for virmire, and Miranda? good for intel on kai leng and brining me back to life (oh yeah, she wanted to put a damn control chip in me, but THATS OK RIGHT? smh) and nothing else.
