Wow I kinda feel the need to defend Ashley here, at least in regards to Horizon. People need to look at it from her perspective, Shepard shows up after two years and all he can say is A) its my first dayspace magic. She believe's Shepard is outright lying to her, and a pretty unbelievable lie at that. Of course we know better, but considering that most of us have ripped the Lazarus Project a time or two why do we expect Ashley to believe such nonesense. I would feel betrayed as well.
Worded it beautifully

Also I would like to pose a question to Massive, if the roles were reversed do you honestly believe Miranda would respond any different? In that I mean if Shepard had been a former Cerberus Operative and had been involved romantically or otherwise with Miranda during that time, and showed up after two years in the Alliance with some ludicrous story. Personally while I think Miranda would be more open minded about the Alliance affiliation initially, she would still feel pretty damn betrayed. Probably holding just as much if not more of a grudge because of it.
no because Miranda is bestest character ever.

Ashley isn't forcing religion on you when you talk about Akuze. She's just acknowledging that Shepard has been through crazy **** and thinks someone must be watching over them. Akuze is more symbolic though - Sole Survivor Shepard is crazy in general. Jenkins says Shepard is always being thrown into impossible situations.
nope. This just makes her a religious zealot

I took the Renegade option there. Ashley gets pretty... defensive about Shepard having a guardian angel.
No one is watching my Shepard. He doesn't need an invisible best buddy to get him through hard situations. My Shepard's also the kind of guy who literally can't get PTSD. Things can be disturbing, and he can get angry about things, but nothing really affects him, at least nothing on the more physical level.

I took the Renegade option too. It doesn't mean she's forcing religion on me. I'm not that sensitive about it. It's just a difference in opinion and why she thinks Shep keeps staying alive. Big ****ing deal.

I still can't feel any sympathy for her there. She gets too hung up on her emotions. What the hell was she expecting? I was dead, and now I'm back. Simple as that. She gets too angry and upset way too early, and doesn't have much of an open mind.

Yes, I do believe she'd respond differently. Miranda would certainly question Shepard's story, but she wouldn't outright reject him and go on a little hissy-fit like Ashley would. Shepard would have some explaining to do. But Miranda would listen. I don't see why'd she'd feel betrayed at all. If Shepard explained everything, I think she'd still be a bit apprehensive, but she wouldn't do the "I loved you, but you're not with the alliance, so now I hate you!" that Ashley does.

Yeah I can understand why Ashley walks away. And I can sort of understand her attitude in ME3. I certainly thought that Ashley talking about her sisters and her brother-in-law dying where a lot more personal than, "Shepard. My sister's been kidnapped. My loyalty mission was pointless." or "Lol, I'm a teacher." and the best, "They trusted me with even more authority, despite the fact that every single soldier except for one has died when I lead them. Hold my hand, Shepard." All of that stuff is just as stupid as Ashley lacking dialogue. A lot of LIs were short changed. Ashleymancers may not have all the content, but at least the bits that get through aren't feces wrapped in pink bows.
Yep. Miranda had a useless rehash, and Tali needed shepards help again as usual. Jack's wasnt terrible (it showed character developement at least).
The only thing i complain about for ashley is the deleted scene and bugged dialogue, as well as not enough squad interactions

Because it's about me, and she is not going to get it in her head that some imaginary dude is keeping me alive. She better learn fast that it is an objective truth that my skill (and circumstance that is random though certainly not divine) is what is keeping me alive.

Her email means nothing. The only feeling my Shepard has left at that point is bitter indifference about her. She's a problem, like so many other things, that will need to be dealt with one way or another later.

He is, more or less, a sociopath. Not a psychopath since he doesn't have a desire to kill constantly, but he does lack normal human empathy levels. But no, why would anyone want to kill my Shepard? His enemies do have a way of dying.

I don't care about what I 'deserve'. I can say she deserved the bullet to the gut that she got.
That felt pretty righteous.
