No we won't. Our reactions are justified.
If it turns out to be trolling, it will be legendary, and I will love BioWare once more. But our attitudes right now are nothing to apologise for.

Agreed. If Bioware pulls off something amazing from all this I will gladly eat all my negative feedback with hot sauce and wasabi. Until then though, we have the right to speak up (though we must be a civil as possible).

So Shepard becoming a Reaper minion is... better than the endings so far?

Or is there some sort of angle to the Indoctrination argument I'm missing? Granted, the mind game aspect makes sense with all the "suddenly people are back on the Normandy which is in hyperspace even though it had no way to get there right away...", but still.

And yes, the outrage IS currently justified. Now, if Bioware fixes this... then the forgiveness will begin. But until then, Bioware and EA gets no more $ from me. Period.

You need to understand the fundamental point of the indoctrination theory.
Shep is being indoctrinated. Shep is *not* indoctrinated. You're in the middle of the process.
This theory holds hope of resistence. The endings have no hope, in the actual endings you ARE a Reaper minion, following the instructions of the Reaper god.

This is true. I also found this little bit on a blog. It explains quite abit of the early process.

"-When Anderson calls for Shepard at the beginning of the game, when
Shepard is talking to the child, Shepard turns back and the child is
gone. Shepard has been "snapped out of it".
-When Shepard turns towards Anderson after being "snapped out of
it", a growl is heard. In the third novel, when Greyson resisted the
reapers they would make a growling noise once they realized they didn't
have him under complete control."

She replied to one of my tweets also. Even if she doesn't have a say in how things progress from here, her replies tell me she really does care about the fans. I've got a mildly successful entertainment company myself, and I can say with certainty that it takes a real commitment to respond to comments as frequently as that.

We all have to fight viciously to get what we want. But, we do so polity. Viciously is a bad word, we fight, uh, repeatedly and do not let up.

Seriously, I think the ending of the trilogy made me a bit depressed.

I'm just trying to give myself a little hope.
I just refuse to believe that a game that has consumed me more than any book, movie or other form of media, would end like that.
They can't do such an amazing job with 2 and 9.8/10 games in a series and just **** the bed like that with the finale.
It just doesnt make sense.

I suppose it makes sense.  How can a company get away with selling an incomplete game and then selling the real ending as a DLC?  Make the first 'ending' so bad that people beg for you to just do that.

This is the only thing that I don't like if the Indoctrination theory is true. I don't like the idea of making the true resolution and conclusion of a game a DLC download. This isn't shareware after all, it should at least complete its own main story.

Don't misunderstand me, if they make a DLC that fixes that atrocious ending I would buy it day one, and I suspect many, if not everyone in these forums, will buy it too. The main ending was atrocious and as far as I'm concerned a betrayal to what the series stood for and said. But I certainly don't like the door this kind of thing would be opening.

Oh and I think people are reading way too much to the tweets. You can see all the tweets here

It seems like the person is just asking people to calm down, have a drink, talk about it and the ending will seem amazing.... or something like that.

I mean, you can spin the ending to be pretty good I agree. With so many holes you can pretty much "say" whatever you want happened to most of the universe.... but someone how I think we did not want to be the storytellers and have Bioware use their assets for that. :\\

Atleast the more days go by, the less it bugs me, and I may pick up the ME series again. Not because of an amazing ending, just because I accept I need to fill in their gaps in my mind :(

and if they do release endings as Paid DLC we should be MORE furious. Sure, it might make us feel better.... but we do NOT want companies to get the idea they can nickle and dime us by throwing us garbage then fixing it. Free ending DLC, or just dont bother.

Actually, in regards to the "true ending" DLC theory... has anyone tried playing through again for London/Earth after making the choice? Does it allow for that?

But honestly I need an official statement .. all I have heard is alot of stalling and I just want a answer.....

This is going to take some time. You have to remember Bioware did (and probably still does) believe that the endings were good/appropriate. They didnt anticipate this disappointment (or at the very least not to this extent). They knew people would be upset at Shepards death but they werent ready for the barrage of other criticisms (both fair and unfair). I very much doubt they planned to make a new ending (that would be weird) but are attempting to get feedback before they proceed.

Personally I'd like Shep to die pressing the button on the console obliterating all reaper tech (so edi lives :D) then a slideshow epilogue telling me what the future holds for everyone else (Liara, Garrus etc). The reapers motives were supposedly incomprehensible, I'd prepared for that so I dont need an explanation for why they do what they do. Let me sacrifice myself for the galaxy in one final act.

Point is they are stalling because they dont even know how to proceed yet. When they make a decision we will hear from them but don't expect any response for a week at least I'd say

people, do remember that they (at least the community management peeps) are under an NDA until the end of the month (of course, the cynic in me admits that it COULD be just a claim, but i'll give them the benefit of the doubt in the spirit of not being a jerk). this means that they are contractually obligated not to say anything. of course the NDA might have been done at the last minute AFTER the backlash started, but it's equally as likely to have been there from the beginning, so no assumptions here. they could be stalling, or they could NOT be stalling (at least not to the extent that we seem to think), but regardless of that, we're still not gonna see much if any response until it runs out, no matter how much we kick and scream.

This.

Show them we're doing this because we love the franchise, and because we truly care about the universe they've built.

I'm slowly getting more hopeful. I refuse to believe the writers at Bioware are just going to cop out with an ending like this. They have to have something planned. I simply refuse to believe otherwise!
