I am really starting to wish they would just come out and say "that's just the way it is, deal with it" end of story. At least that would let people know what's what.
If that's the way it's gonna be, that's the way it's gonna be. Let me bury the ME franchise. (Hell - maybe I ought to do the ending where everyone dies in war instead of by starvation instead.) If there is no plan and no way anything can be done, don't stonewall me or mess around with me.
I do hope they do something, but leaving us out to dry after it's quite clear a LOT of people are unhappy is not all right, not all right at all. If it's a marketing decision it's a very short-term focused one. The ending didn't give any closure, the developers could at least.
Also: I will not feel guilt if an expansion is announced. It was not made patently obvious if it was meant to be a cliffhanger. Now, if an expansion or appropriate DLC is released? Then yeah, I'll be thrilled and I'll cut Bioware all the slack in the world. Otherwise...

The unethical nature of creating the current situation, intentionally or not, and then requiring consumers to pay for a fix is something I can't ignore. However I care too much about this series to let it lie they way it is. "
This, exactly this. I spent too much time and personal investment to get hung up on $10 more to get a real ending to something I care about.
