Sooo... I just tweeted her this: I know you are under a NDA and all, but FYI, the BSN is hanging on every word you say. Thank you for the hope! <3

and got this: whaaa??

huh. not sure what to make of that. Hope its not bad!

Haha, I just don't think she realizes that what she says is fueling our ideas about better endings and whatnot.

She does now, she asked for the link to the thread.

She did a very nice AMA on reddit. Please do not harass her, she works very hard on the game and everything she said in the AMA was true. She never lied or gave us any false promises. She has no control over how the game is made, so don't try to blame her for the problems.

Just a heads up to anyone who wants to take their anger out on her. She has been a really good community manager and has always gone the extra miles for the community.

Here is the thing though Jessica is just the Community Manager, she herself has admitted she doesnt know what went through the writers head when they wrote the ending or what it means. So even if she believes in the hallucination theory that doesnt mean anything.

What we need is word from one of the writers such as Mac Walters or Casey Hudson because they are the ones in charge of everything, they would know what is going on and what they were thinking.

No, she's being super nice to people on twitter. I didn't expect her to respond to me at all, let alone twice! I hope this thread doesn't freak her out, I just figured she should know. Oh god. She's looking at us now. I can feel it.

I agree with this guy.

But the problem is that they have less of an obligation to respond.

Nothing she has said has broken her NDA. She knows what she is doing. Proof is the different interpretations people have about the "Slow down, take a drink, and think". We indoctrination theorists think she's telling us to replay and look for things, like the growling etc. The others think she's telling us to calm down and think about whether the endings are fine. She's changing nothing, and has been a very positive force for trying to keep people civil.

Well, I guess Bioware / EA PR engines take awhile to get grinding? I mean, it's not even been a week since NA release. It makes sense for them to wait and see responses from other regions. :/

Still, it's good to see a civil discussion between a bioware employee and bsn regulars. That's something hopeful at least.

I've tweeted her and she tweeted me back a couple days ago.. I use a different tag on twitter though.

Said I was disappointed, she was very polite. I like this lady.

Now she just needs to get Marc/Casey to do something. XD (I know she can't)

You got the community manager's attention.

This is some ground, but no one else seems to know.

Not even Stanley "end of line" Woo.

Not necessarily. If bioware releases some information regarding this that wasn't present in the game, it would still have been wrong of Bioware to create the current ending. If they release DLC, especially paid DLC, much of the current tone of discussion would still be justified as it would mean Bioware either A) Knew their ending was crap and planned to fix it in DLC or B) were monumentally off base by releasing the current ending in the final product.

If it's paid DLC, I'll buy it but it will be the last purchase I make from Bioware. The unethical nature of creating the current situation, intentionally or not, and then requiring consumers to pay for a fix is something I can't ignore. However I care too much about this series to let it lie they way it is.

I am really starting to wish they would just come out and say "that's just the way it is, deal with it" end of story. At least that would let people know what's what.

If that's the way it's gonna be, that's the way it's gonna be. Let me bury the ME franchise. (Hell - maybe I ought to do the ending where everyone dies in war instead of by starvation instead.) If there is no plan and no way anything can be done, don't stonewall me or mess around with me.

I do hope they do something, but leaving us out to dry after it's quite clear a LOT of people are unhappy is not all right, not all right at all. If it's a marketing decision it's a very short-term focused one. The ending didn't give any closure, the developers could at least.

Also: I will not feel guilt if an expansion is announced. It was not made patently obvious if it was meant to be a cliffhanger. Now, if an expansion or appropriate DLC is released? Then yeah, I'll be thrilled and I'll cut Bioware all the slack in the world. Otherwise...

This, exactly this. I spent too much time and personal investment to get hung up on $10 more to get a real ending to something I care about.

I'll be the first to admit that I was wrong... if that's the case. I hope so much that we can look back on this and say we were wrong. I really do. But I really don't think Bioware planned anything from the start, and if they did: that means they intended to lure us into additional DLC for a happy ending.

I can understand the From Ashes DLC, but actually leading us into an ending DLC on purpose? I really hope they are  above that.

But as I said, I will be the first to admit I'm wrong if I can

I don't if it would be good or bad if Stanely Woo took an active interest right now. There could be quite a few swings of the Ban Hammer.

I think her biggest give-away at the ending is the obvious;

Take the hint. Indoctrination speculations are accurate.

What gives me absolute hope is if you have enough Assets and choose to destroy Synthetic life Shepard is in rubble.

Sorry, but this tweet is meaningless. It's practically an automated response from a PR person. They don't want us to loose our trust in them, but that tweet doesn't say anything else.

Probably an innocuous comment that we're all reading way too much into, like 99.9999% of the things they say on Twitter.

he made a statement a few days ago and i cant blame him or the devs for not responding because the comments people throw out are pretty disturbing to wher ei almost want to leave

i cant speak for anyone else but to me all this negativity is killing my love for this franchise and i blame you guys for that and not the devs

no matter what i myself say peoples views of me will be either a bioware butt kisser or a drone and im sorry but everyone is different and honestly the way this place is acting i feel you want it to fail because you were given a 5 minute scene of disapointment

people dont have to say they want it to its your actions on this board that shows it

Ms. Merizan has kept herself quite professional, which is a positive reflection on her, no doubt.

I'd wager, though, that she's being just that, calm and professional. It also wouldn't surprise me if some of the other responses that have been tweeted by other employees may have gotten them into a bit of a fuss on the business side. It's just not good for business to have your executives caught, in print, behaving badly, regardless of provocation.

Still, if reading her tweets helps anyone feel less distraught, then I'm certainly not going to argue it. Whatever it takes, to each his own, etc.

I'm with you. She has my Sheps ability to Paragon interrupt and this little glimmer of hope just might be enough. I'll hold the line with you and hope that Bioware has something in the wait to pull this one out.
