This was on the 13th, while they were still in considerably more 'deny everything' mode. They've gotten a good bit more conciliatory in tone since.

Since we know this ending was intended, all theories have been dismissed. The harsh reality is Bioware actually thought the ending was good. They may end up fixing the ending, which is great, but they never had a master plan, they wanted you to use your imagination. The screwed up by destroying the relays and crashing the Normandy. They clearly never thought people pick out such obvious plot-hole but they did, and its biting them in the ass.
Jessica is baiting you, she knows you "want" to believe and therefore will see hope where this none. She is trying to tune down the fan-rage so the rest of the team can either:
A) Figure out how to fix this mess
How to avoid it all and maintain the customer base.
Just keeps your heads on straight or else everything will blow over and Bioware will have forgotten this whole incident. Wait for and official announcment before you have hope. They are listening, and waiting to see how bad the ****storm is going to get, so give them a show.
