Another bad decision by Bioware and their staff. I think we are in need of a combo breaker!Darth Malignus wrote...

This is all copy and pasted from another website. That's the point.Posted by: halomaster10144How can you enjoy them? They're all melancholy and sad, along with lacking a real objective.
You are in the final battle to defeat the Reapers, everybody thinks that the Crucibal is a huge ship that shoots out beams or some crap like that to take down all of the Reapers.
The Crucibal lands on The Citadel, and then that's when you found out the only decisions to choose. Each would stop the Reapers, but in the end, you would still have to sacrifice your life to save the galaxy.
Kill one, save the rest. You can't change the purpose of the Crucibal. The Crucibal's only way to defeat the Reapers was one of those 3 decisions. You can't change canon to make the community happy, i'm sorry, but that's what the Crucibal is, and that's how you activate it.
I would really, really like that ending if it wasn't the only one.

At the very end of the game you'll notice that the Stargazer and the kid are on the same planet that the Normandy crashed on. This is because your crew starts up a new life, or civilization if you will, on the planet they are stranded on. Nobody can reach them, and vice-versa, because all of the mass relays have been destroyed.
The Stargazer scene takes place many years later, and stories of Shepard have been passed down. This is why Shepard is considered a legend.

You completely missed the point of most people's arguments and chose to focus on this one and this one alone. Many people are more upset about the lack of closure, the unexplained plot holes, the lack of significant diversity in the endings, the fact that your choices up to this point don't seem to matter, and the fact that the character at the end seemingly came out of nowhere to give you ridiculous circular logic bull**** that made no sense.

Huh. I spent 3 games teaching him to tell anyone in his way to move or get a boot in their face. His last 15 minutes are hardly legendary in my mind, especially since I taught him everything he knows about being a hard-ass who don't take s**t from anyone, especially holographic brats.

I wont ruin any of the good parts of the game (considering it is pretty much all of it except the last 15 minutes) which is an absolute shambles.

Oh I undestand.
I undestand that 3 similar endings that basically violates the lore and setting logic in the last 10 minutes of the game has ruined the entire IP and made any playthrough (I had alot) completely redundant. It insults my intelligence that bioware thinks Im too stupid to notice.
This. I don't know why people have such difficulties comprehending this simple, logical reasoning behind why most people dislike the endings - somehow it always equates to wanting a "sunshine and rainbows" ending.

So all the endings given make sense in that context and so does the motivation behind the cycle. Conventional warfare was doomed as was aptly illustrated through the first two games. Gathering forces was only a buy more time type deal. Conceivably maybe you could beat them on one front but that wouldn't work again as the reapers would consolidate their forces to finish the remnants since all was gathered in one place. So an alternate means was needed. Shepard solved the problem ending the cycle where trillions have failed and is a hero of the ages. How is that not a fitting ending? Crisis averted and everyone knows who saved them.

I like pretty much everything about the endings, from music, execution etc except for the Normandy part. With the information that actually is provided to me I simply can't possibly understand what's the deal with teleporting squadmates and what and why Normandy is doing what it's doing. The Normandy & squadmates part is like KOTOR 2's ending unfortunately. Sad because otherwise it's a great game with good endings.greengoron89 wrote...

People don't understand the endings because the endings make no sense. Don't insult our intelligence by advocating it's our fault.
I'd also sure as hell like to know why this is stickied too. I mean, if you guys just don't want my money anymore, just say so. It'll be a time saver for both of us.
