Where is the image someone made making fun of Casey Hudson's "no 1 2 3 ending" quote?

I care and I hope the endings can be fixed or added on to. This series always meant so much to me. been part of it since day one of the first game on day one release.

American fleet standing by.

There is a two threads I would like to bring up. One is a short one, had a small discussion, but the OP is still a good read. Gives the perspective from someone that works as an illustrator and what are proper expectations of art as a product. Basically Bioware can't just do what they want and we have to take it, there are consequences and responsibilites involved.

social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/9975115/1

Now this thread... this guy at first you might think he was trying to debunk us but if you read past his deconstruction of our over generalisation he goes into what went wrong and just how bad it really is from a technical standpoint. He goes into the stylistic mistakes the writing did that caused us to have these grievences and explains them in detail. I strongly recommand people read his whole post.

social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/10022779/1

Enjoy these threads and no... we are not alone. Hold the Line.

One caveat that may render our opinions moot.

In the Game Informer April 2012 edition the editors posted on the Timeline a release date (april 25th, i believe) for more Darkhorse comics of Mass Effect. Particularly in regards to the aftermath of Shepard's Squadmates.

Would this information essentially brand the endings we have now as immutable?

Great job on the thread!

I'm ashamed to admit I was thrilled to see a tutorial on how to set up the banner in a sig. I kinda blanked there!

Very good compilation of information... keep up the good work!

Boy, I certainly hope not. And if they think they are going to fob people off with additional ending material in the form of comics, I think they will find that all rather painful, to be quite frank.

I am still trying to summon the will to play again... because I really loved the first 99% of the game and Spring Break was designed for reveling in this title... /sigh

Angry Joe finally reviews the game. He has said exactly what each of us said. Such an awsome game but the last 10 minutes is so bad. He critices the end a little (he will have a separate video later as to why the ending sucks) and even says that it may have ruined not just the game but the whole franchise, and that it is pretty much an insult to everyone, out of place, and none sensical.

youtu.be/TFq531vkNOY

His style is a little agressive (Angry Joe is not just a name) and he does nitpick the game. Otherwise fun to watch if you like his style. I am very interested in his video that will be dedicated to just why the ending was bad. He does do a nice bit of facial reaction of playing the game at the start. I think... we all had that face too.

He still gives a good score, which I agree (bombing scores for the ending is unprofessional) but he does say it did hurt the score. Also he does feel if the ending was gimped deliberately just so it can be a DLC... it would be considered bad practice.

Played the to the part where the Salarian Dalatrass offers her "option". This is what Shepherd says in reply:

"You can't condemn an entire race on what could happen"

The Guardian condemns an entire galaxy over 9000 times based on what could happen...And Shepherd does not refute that point in any way.......

Well, if nothing else, Bioware's getting a lot of publicity with this ending.

Whether or not that ends up good or bad remains to be seen.

From what Casey said before about polarizing the audience, it almost seems to hint that this whole truncated ending is some kind of a publicity thing.

Lets keep this thread alive. Not sure if this video has been posted but it's another review of the ending by Jeremy Jahns.

It's been days since I played any game. At present, I feel too damned depressed to bother...

Good job I've got plenty of books to read (not ME ones either)....

On that score, if anyone is interested in an intelligent hard sci-fi trilogy that also has machines (called Inhibitors) that wipe out galactic civilisations every time they achieve a certain level of technology, try 'Revelation Space', 'Redemption Ark' and 'Absolution Gap' by Alistair Reynolds. Written way before ME ever came onto the scene, and has a far better reason for them doing what they do...

To be honest, I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if Bioware weren't originally inspired, in part, by the concept of the Inhibitors. Except the Inhibitors are fundamentally way more scary than the Reapers...

Oh, and it pretty much starts out with an archeology team investigating the ruins of an ancient civilisation, and trying to work out what catastrophic event caused them to just cease to exist.

Gosh, that doesn't sound familiar at all... ;)

Looks on forum. Can't find this thread. Hmm.

Keep up the good fight, people. The more we compile a list of articles agreeing with our point of view, the more we can support them, and, correspondingly, the more people will be encouraged to write about this.

Keep the pressure on.

Erm, just wondering: why don't the Reapers just shut down the conduit and laugh as the alliance forces are left scratching their heads?
