So Yahtzee just called the people upset with ME3's ending idiots and ****-heads.

He also used one of the flimsier arguments concerning a change setting a "horrible precedent."

There's a certain childish amusement to be had with his videos. But I don't put much stock in his opinions. He's just too stuck in his ways, and likes, to have any valuable contribution to gaming critique in general.

Yahtzee is simply a brief distraction. Nothing more...

Some say it's hard to find fault with the endings if you don't care for the story to being with and he most certainly was not a big fan of the series. I expect no less from him.

What I expected the most out of him was to just ignore it and move on, not take his turn punching Mass Effect fans in the gut like the other game journalist have been doing.

God I just realized that Mordin and Thane get better deaths than Shepard(not that they aren't completely deserving of heroic send-offs).

Is that an unspoken rule? You can't have a more dramatic and awesome death than the main character? xD

Has anyone suggested this new video analyzing the ending and the series as a whole? It's in the style of RedLetter Media, but with far less extraneous humor and very 'on point' with the actual topics.

I think it's worthy of adding to the War Assets.

Through compelling analysis placing Mass Effect within the larger framework of the Sci-Fi genre, the author establishes the illogical, convoluted reasoning (which runs counter to the established mythos of the Mass Effect Universe) required to make sense of the ending. Key talking points include: genre, character focus, central conflict, and (perhaps most importantly) narrative coherence, discussing how the ending of Mass Effect 3 eschews the conventions of all four as they've been represented in the franchise up until that point. He succinctly describes ways in which Bioware could improve on the ending provided:

1) Lose the hologram kid
2) Get the mood right
3) Focus on characters
4) Keep it simple

In short, this video offers a wealth of useful information Bioware should be apprised of when considering how to potentially amend the ending of Mass Effect 3 via future DLC. Bottom line: this is must-watch material for anyone following the Mass Effect 3 ending controversy.
