This thread is pure win.
You did good son.

Why, thank you! It has been a labor of love (and sometimes extreme rage) for a while now. ^_^

A BSN user shares his lit professor's take on the ending and why the choices are all "thematically revolting."

Yeah you should include that in your list somehow, it's a good summary.

They're using the bad fan reaction to the ending as clever marketing now.

Thank you! ^-^

I will definitely put this in, it's amazing.

I also posted in a thread comparing this fiasco to the "New Coke" fiasco, asking the OP if it would be okay to use it here.

@Half_Moon - You mean not everyone keeps gasoline under their desk? *Quietly slips gas can into the garage before anyone notices*

I'm sure glad Coke decided to not maintain their culinary integrity by refusing to cave to consumer demands.

Hey guys! I made a poll!

As of now, will you buy any planned/future ME3 DLC?

If I get enough responses, I'll be sending it to Forbes so they can do their business thing and analyze it.

I really hope Bioware reads this, but the likeliness of that is nigh impossible since their yearning to be considered artists is literally destroying their relationship with their customer base.

Your right their isn't a climax.

I didn't realize it. I guess I thought seeing Soveran there would be my big Climatic fight to determine the future of the Galaxy...what a disappointment. I actually stood still for a bit waiting for something to happen until I realized I was suppose to run forward then I had no clue what I was doing and why I and everyone here was running right at a reaper and not even getting cover from Artilery.

I would also like to note and ask why does the Star Child look exactly like the kid that was killed at the beginning of the game?

It's almost like something is trying to get in the Commanders head to influence his choices.

Which brings up another point I have seen made elsewhere: How would one kid affect a full renegade Shepard in exactly the same way as a full paragon Shepard.  We're talking about a Shepard that goes around shooting unarmed surrendered enemies, occasionally shooting friends, blackmailing shopkeepers for discounts, punching reporters, letting a factory's workers die just to take out 1 mercenery, killing a teammate in order to recruit her serial killer daughter, etc, etc.  A Shepard that spends the whole third game telling allies that any amount of death and sacrifice is acceptable in order to emerge victorious.  You mean to tell me that a Shepard like that would get that broken up about 1 kid?

Mass Effect was incrible, till the last moments.

What you been through with your crew in the whole trilogy, it shows that Shepard could unite and stand against any odds(with sacrifices, yeah). Then we met that almight kid with "godlike motivations", telling us that Shepard were wrong the whole time.

And the worst part, Shepard didn't do or could do nothing to change it (are we talking about Shepard? doesn't looks like).

Three endings? I see only a variation of total devastation.

Really? Are you serious?

Remember that post I linked to where a student shared his lit professor's view of the end of ME3? Well, said professor has commented on the post.

Interesting read.

A link to the professor's university page, provided by a redditor, because the internet is a suspicious, fact-checking beast.

I loved how pretty much all the trolls disappeared after the Professor posted. classic.
