 Anyone else wish they could get new game + with a different character.

I dont want to play as the exact same character again, I want a different background/class etc etc. However I want to be able to upgrade my guns to level X and stuff.

Am I alone here

Why give you benefits you didn't earn? New Game+ has always been about replaying the same character to achieve levels and items you can't get in one playthrough.

No one's stopping you from using your ME2 import, changing the class, and starting at level 30. That's just giving you 30 levels for free as it is.

Benefit I didn't earn? I just played the whole single  player campaign. Now I want to play it again but explore different options story wise based of a different Shepard  history. However I  would like the combat options I unlocked to still be viable. Why am I disqualified from this simply because  I want to experience other story options?

What I mean is that if you want level 10 weapons on a certain class, you should play through the game as that class first. classes in ME are no different than any other RPG.

Should you get a max level shaman by leveling a warrior and expecting to suddenly have a max level shaman without learning how to play it first?

Mass Effect is by no means the first RPG with a New Game+, the mode is about supporting long-term players with new perks. Not letting dabblers play around with a new class with free stuff.

nope you cant and you didnt earn them with the other shepard that is why you cant, you looking to make it easier on youself with a new shep and a brand new game nota Ng+, dont bother answering i wont respond to anything you say that seem to rage about you cant be play different shep that you wanted to play on newgame + with you other sheps things that he/she earned as a different class

you're talking about choosing a new character class, they're talking about having a different history behind the character, Like space, earthborn and all that.

yup, not that it matters cuz even with new game plus you still GET THE SAME CRAP ENDING!!

I agree, I kinda thought I would unlock those bonus weapons on my second playthrough of the game... But of course, I can only get them on a character I already maxed out.... Problem is, if I wanted to play a NG+ with a character at level 1 I'd have to use the game preset options meaning alot of people are dead.... Kinda stupid IMO.

Weird, because you got the NG+ bonus resources with any new import or newly created character in ME2. It should simply unlock the new ranks of stuff just for beating it.

Hmmm... I could swear I changed classes on one of my NG+ starts on ME1 or 2. Oh well.

Both a save game editor and a coalesced editor is available, so you can edit pretty much any aspect of your character to suit your tastes - from eye colour to weapon/armour/ability stats. Changing class and background takes like 20 seconds.

I would have liked it if upon Completion, all weapons and armor are available in the shops from the beginning for all games created at that point. NG+, New Game, or ME2 import.

I personally don't like NG+, but it sucks having to wait so long to have super sexy Armax Arsenal Chestplate for Femsheps (Seriously, how perfect does that go with Hane-Kedar Legs?), and Hardcore Badass Hane-Kedar chestplate for Maleshep.

You can unlock every piece of armour available with some quick coalesced editing.. even some outfits that aren't usually available, like the scientist uniform and boxer-wearing Shepard from the love scene.

never mind i found the problem it turns out that i accidentally kept choosing to import my mass effect 2 file by mistake
