Nobody seems to be able to figure out what the rhyme or reason is behind who steps out of the Normandy.  People have pointed to this as evidence of the Dream Theory since sometimes one of the companions leaving the ship was standing next to Shepard when he got knocked out by Harbinger.  Maybe if we all just put down what we saw, a pattern will emerge.

Be sure to indicate:

-which ending you chose
-which (if either) of the squad mates were in your squad during the run for the tower
-which (if either) of the squad mates were your love interest
-whether or not you had Javik

The Synthesis ending is the easiest one to figure out since EDI is always the first one to exit the ship, usually followed by your love interest as far as I can tell.

I had the Synthesis ending and got EDI and Tali.  Tali was my LI, and was in my party.  I did not have Javik.

Synthesis: as I recall it, Joker and Edi stepped out and shared a tender moment taking in the vista of the planet on which they landed. I briefly saw Tali step outside, and she was my love interest. I brought Tali and Garrus with me to the final battle, and had Javik.

When I reloaded after playing some multiplayer, I picked destroy, took Garrus and Tali, and they stepped outside with Joker. Since it was the same file, Tali was my love interest, and I had Javik.

-I had Javik

this means you can have one of any of the random characters walk out of the ship! +6 endings * 3 for each color you choose = 18 endings + 17 endings + (depending on what you ate that night) 999999 endings = INFINITE ENDINGS TO CHOOSE FROM OMG SO MUCH CLOSURE

It really annoyed me when i saw Garrus step out. My headcannon up until that point was Harbinger kill Garrus and Javik and my femshep knew that so had no qualms about kiling herself for synthesis... Then i found out hes alive... -.-
