Definitely not a difference on the SM, check the sticky at the top about that. About romances, it depends, if you act like a jerk, that won't help, but being a jerk is different from being a renegade. It's perfectly doable, just don't go clicking the bottom option like crazy in every conversation.

1. No, being paragon/renegade doesn't affect whether or not your teammates die - if you upgrade the Normandy, only do Legion's loyalty mission before the O4 Relay and complete everyone else's loyalty missions, you're set. And if you send the right people for the right positions, of course.
2. Yes, you can romance somebody while being Renegade, just be careful what you click. Like, you can be renegade during some conversations, but don't go shutting them down or attacking the person you're trying to romance. (An example could be telling Kaidan his stories are boring in ME1. That basically breaks the romance flag and you can't romance him because you insulted him personally.)

Upgrading armor and weapons should have no influence over companion death during the suicide mission. As Roxy said: Upgrading the Normandy shields, cannon, armor): completing the companion loyalty quests and finally choosing the right companions to perform tasks during the suicide mission is what affects it.

At which points in your run do Miranda, Garrus and Samara die?

Garrus died when we were heading to the entrance when the seeker swarm caught him and miranda and samara died at the end when i defeated the human reaper they were like in the ground dead..

If someone dies during the biotic field part, that means you didn't pick the ideal biotic for that part - Jack or Samara are the best for that role.

When you go into the final battle, pick (LOYAL) squadmates who aren't the best at defensive tasks (the defense-oriented squadmates should hold the line). There's guides for the Suicide Mission as to who to pick for what - pretty sure there's a thread on this forum, actually. I'm surprised Miranda died for you, she's a tough bugger during that mission, even when she's not loyal.

Good luck!
