The shear IDEA that this is YOUR game is so twisted, obsessive and narrow minded, it's hard to fathom....

I would suggest that people instead contact their congressman about high gas prices, high cost of healthcare and wasteful spending. I'm not going to petition a game company when human beings are really dying in Syria for freedom. Petition the US to stop dealing with countries, like China, that support horrid regimes.

I'm sorry but this is ridiculous. The fact that you called this D-Day shows a lack of respect for people who actually put their lives on the line in real life. This is not a war or about life and death, so stop making it sound that way. I'm okay with you having a gripe with the game and expressing it but to make it sound like a war effort is silly.

Yes, those are all valuable causes, but why should they stop you from sending a few lines to a games company, expressing your dissatissfaction?

I am honestly confused.
I agree the ending is inexplicably bad, and indefensible. I join your hope that BioWare makes it right. What I don't understand is what you hope to accomplish by a letter writing campaign. Without a doubt, BioWare is completely aware of the profound and almost universal dissatisfaction with the end of Mass Effect 3. They have a history of being responsive to their fans. At this point, it seems to me that we are just waiting to hear what response they're working on.
They intend to market DLC, as well as providing some free DLC to keep people engaged and interested in the paid DLC. Surely they understand that without addressing the ending issue, not many people will give a crap about their other DLC content, so BioWare is almost certainly working on some kind of plan to address this.
If their announcement, when it comes, does not set out a satisfactory resolution, then a letter campaign might make sense. Until then, well... I don't see the point.
I could be wrong. This could be just what's needed to inspire BioWare to fix what's broken. I just don't see it.
They totally will, because people weren't happy with DA2's ending and they fixed that..
Oh, wait.

Seriously? There are plenty of things to protest in the world and thinking anyone here DESERVERS some direct input on the way a video game ends is just pathetic.

Thank you, well said.
Seriously, if you're going to dedicate yourself to a cause, why not pick something actually productive.
Makes me wonder if Shakespeare would have been bombarded by irate "fans" by Hamlet's ending.
It's a tragic ending (for most people), nothing wrong with that.

Great, then the rest of us don't have to join together on a petition. Just speak with your wallet and don't buy any dlc or any other games from Bioware or EA. Trying to make this sound like a war effort when there are actual people dying in wars is just silly and lacks perspective.

I AM IN! and so are all my other friends! WE WILL GET THE ENDINGS WE WANT!
Problem is everyone wants a different ending. Some people want the dark ending others want the happy ending and some people are good with the ending as is just with maybe a little more exposition. Even if they make a change a large group of people will be upset. I for one want the happy ending. Killing a character then bringing them back to life to kill them again is just bad story telling. I don’t think there is a way to fix this and make people happy.

Thank you! This is exactly how I feel about this whole debacle. It's sad how the final 5 minutes of a video game not living up to it's fans expectations can motivatate thousands to raise $40,000 for charity, but not much else can. Don't get me wrong, I have the utmost respect for those who donated regardless, but we're not entitled to anything from Bioware. Besides, I have a feeling they've got something up their sleeves anyway.Warlock Angel22 wrote...

True that we all want different endings, i for once want Shepard to refuse the choice and die, that would make sence (too complicated to explain without spoilers). But the reason we dislike the endings are all the same.
I think it's up to BioWare to decide if they can or can't fix this.
