Mine is Tali. The whole trial mission, but particularely the father sequence... my heart melted. From there her nervous come on to Shep was too cute and sealed it for me. Liara is a strong 1b. Many of her moments with Shep are so touching. She's probably the most sensible of all the lady LI's, in terms of quirks.

I started my ME career with Mass Effect 2. I was originally going to romance Miranda, but then I met Tali..

Liara. She has a great romance in ME1. Saves you from the collectors. and even if you don't romance her in ME3 the last dialogue implies she has feelings for shepard. The only thing going against her is Feron but then again I think that was her trying to rationalize her hatred for the Shadow Broker.

I've always had a affinity towards Liara because of how sweet she was in Mass Effect, and the way her character changed from the first to ME2 and 3. She became more human-like in each one.

This should probably be over in Character and Romance. That being said, I liked Jacob, Thane, and Jack, as they all fit their respective Shepards quite well, and I enjoyed each of their romances (even the priiize)

You know, in ME2. Then ME3 arrived. I think I'll just be over there in that corner.

Admittedly, Tali.

Not only because she's awesome, but they did a great job in developing the character over three games.

Tali is probably the best romance story. I never did it myself though. I cant stand her voice for some reason, and she could have been a tentacle monster behind the suit.

Ashley is the most realistic. Two people of the same race in close proximity, both from the alliance ext. Also its not some butterfly love story. They actually interact like real people arguing and such.

Miranda is also a decent choice for similar reasons. However shes so headstrong and determined in other directions that make me think its the sort of thing that would never work.

Initially I was for Tali, but playing ME3 really showed how much depth there is to Liara's character. And seeing Tali with Garrus, well, just need someone for Ashley/Kaiden and the whole original crew can be happy (Wrex already taken care of obviously).

Tali is charming and has a great soul but Liara's humanity really captured me in ME3. I plan to replay from the original with her as a LI sometime.

Pretty brutal how they handled those interests (though I do have to ask - how does Thane's go? I mean, you have to know what you're getting into in ME2, in terms of finality, but it seems like that could have been *incredibly* dramatic in ME3, especially given the overall feel of the game).

Persoanlly though, its Tali.  Not only cause I think her character is incredbily cute in the way she approaches things, but also her interaction with other species is the most amazing concept to me.  To live your life in such a secluded way in such an expansive galaxy, its an incredibly depressing notion (to me, at least) - I felt her need for personal contact  the most gripping.  Also they paid her story *waaaaaaaaaay* more attention than the majority of other romances so that helped flesh things out for sure.

Same situation for me. I bought my 360 in July 2010, and literally knew nothing about the Mass Effect series (except I actually bought my 360 for ME2). I did one playthrough, not really understanding how the game worked, or any of the background. So naturally, I went aftet Miranda; the typical hottie with all the standard features.

Then, as many of you also have done, I took a chance with a young Quarian named Tali'Zorah. And the rest is history...

Drama aside, I absolutely think Tali is the most interesting LI in the entire series. For a variety of reasons I don't feel like elaborating on.

First game it was Liara.. Second game it was Tali. I've only done Tali's so far in three. I thought it was great. We'll see how Liara's is in a couple of weeks, I just started it on Sunday and I can't keep playing 10 hours a day.

Add in a kiss and substitute 'siha' for 'Shepard', and it's the same as the friendship path. Nothing really changes.

I had a problem with Ashley ever since how they handled her in ME2.  I could understand the distrust and the sense of betrayal, but I *really* did not understand not sticking around long enough to even talk about it for more than 5 seconds.  That just seemed....incredibly unrealistic.  Especially given her sense of duty, and her loyalty to the colonists (that she just watched you try and save while she was helpless), she turns her back on all of it - that was the death of her character to me, and ME3 did not do nearly enough to win me back (they treat her like a second-rate character with the amount of cutscenes available on-ship, at least that I managed to find.  Granted, I had cut it off with her, but still, she turned into a black hole of Cerberus hate with nearly no personality, when she wasn't drunk on the floor)

Tali, because Tali.

Is there any other necessary justification?

J.K. I like that you can have a major, yet believable, effect on her. Not to mention she is, in my opinion, the funniest and most attractive of the LI's.

I never romanced Jack in 2, but ME3 makes me want to go back and romance her. She's easily the most interesting LI.

That said, to me it's sort of a three way tie. Liara, Miranda, and gay Kaidan.

Liara all the way!
For me, she was always the one character that developed the most throughout the games.
In ME1 she was the nervous, occasionally babbling nerd who had a strangely alluring side to her.
In ME2, what you see of her has now become a very strong, confident and quite often brutal woman because of what she's been through, yet that tender side of her remains intact.
In ME3...she is perfect! There's nothing you fault her for. Intelligent, commanding, her biotics are awesome and she's unflinching in battle.

She reminds me of a Valkyrie (not the gun, the warrior woman). :P

Well I just finished my first playthrough using Tali as the LI from ME2. It was great, the way they wrote it. Moving on to Liara and Ashley next. Then something for the ladies.

I vote for Tali. The way she went from ME 1 to 2 to 3 was amazing to watch and be apart of.

Well, I have three Shepards.

Canon Shepard's LI: Liara
Extra Shepard 1's LI: Tali
Extra Shepard 2's LI: Ashley

My "favorite" (biased due to playing mostly the same Shepard since the past four years or so) is Liara, especially thanks to the Shadow Broker DLC which made me like her even more than prior to its release.
