I like tali's (seen it on youtube) and in ME2 she has a HUGE crush on Shep you can tell even tho you don't romance. I think Kasumi mentions it sometimes when you talk to her

[/quote]

which makes it even weirder for me when she hooks up with garrus if you don't pick her.

My favorite was Tali. I can't explain it, I was drawn to her in Mass Effect 1...at which point I discovered she was not one of the L.Is in the game near the end. Guess they never expected people to like her?

Same with Garrus, both were made romance options due to fan response.  A great example of Bioware listening to the fans (hint hint)

As for mine, I always went with Liara. What can I say, I liked her cute social awkwardness and her intelligence. Also, as a student of history, I could relate to her feelings in regards to the mystery of the Protheans.

Her character development throughout the games was done very well.

It appears people be hating on Jack. You wanna go, blue-skin loving jerks? Eh?! Probably chose the blue ending just because it looked like her skin, didn't you?! And the red ending cus.... Uh.... Cus....

Cus Garrus is the Turian avatar of Hot Passion.

I liked Jack she had some of, actually probably the best character development during ME2 and the romance scene really showed her healing from her emotional scars. I think a lot of people aren't listing her because you only get a dance and maybe a few lines of dialog. ME2 romances that weren't Garrus or Tali were basically thrown into the trash. But you know, you decisions matter and all...

Jack - the look just turns me on(especially the new ME3 one) and once you get to know her, she's one of the deeper(est?) characters you run into that's part of your squad.

Not to mention... REAL MEN enjoy bone crushingly rough biotic sex.... mmmmmmmm

Very disappointed in her ME3 romance though... so much potential.

Tali, just has such a cute personality. Liara is probably second for me, especially considering the solid character development she had. Honestly none of the human choices really do it for me personality wise though.

So little love for Kaidan. I think he's adorable, and have been wanting to romance him since ME1.

Smart, kind, and goofy, all wrapped into one Raphael Sbarge voiced package.

Tali is really great, i realy like her personallity but id never romance her. more like a sister and a friend than anything else.. Garrus is my favorite, Loyal longtime friend and the dialog cut scenes with him is epic

tough question. Shepard connects with each individual (Tali and Liara) in a different way. he kind of trauma-bonds with Tali and Liara is just, well, interesting.

i'm not sure if anyone is familiar with the show Pushing Daisies, but the Tali and Shepard spark is incredibly similar to what the two main characters in that show go through (but to a lesser degree for Shep and Tali). they can't touch each other, and in the second season you really start to feel bad for them because it borders on pathetic how in love they are and they can't even kiss. lol

I've had Tali since ME2. We stuck together in ME3. Why? She has a nice personality. Not some whiny emotional train-wreck.

Ashley! Have you seen her? Smoking

I mean Miranda gets me not just with look and not just with Accent, but she left. Had to do things in secret for her sister with out letting me know. I could have helped her big time. Plus she is Beautiful in real life Blonde or Brunette. I am also a sucker for an accent so lets not even get into

Tali... OMG her Accent is so... Awesome! always pictured her with Ice blue eyes pale skin and blonde hair! Real life she is a brunett really cute and has an accent!

Ashely Stuck to her Routes and her morals and rejected Cerberus on every level imaginable, even me when I worked for em. I respect that. Plus she is Beautiful in real life too! Smoking hot. I think its the actress from bad boys two!!! Yes?

I can't speak as well to the female Shepard LI's, since I only have one playthrough with her, as opposed to four or five with male Shepard, but honestly, I lean towards Kaidan with my Shepard's, and not just because he's open to same sex romance, with Ashley being a close second. Let me go into a list.

Ashley - Again, a close second to Kaidan, but what turns off the relationship to me is that on Horizon, she refers to Shepard as 'a God.' Kaidan just says Shepard's a legend. It's a touch too far on the hero worship scale for me, and I question how she could see herself as Shepard's equal with that image of him (admittedly, ME3 did give them a good friendship path, so I could see it happening, just not with my Shepard's).

Liara - Frankly, the ME1 romance completely puts me off to her. I made myself go through it for one playthrough, but the fact that you don't know her for more than ten minutes when she starts making clumsy come ons, and the fact that you HAVE to romance her to learn about her as an individual just completely ruin it for me. Ashley and Kaidan have well-defined friendship paths aside from the romance, but Liara doesn't. You can get all the important information from her character conversations right after meeting her and never speak to her again in the whole game. She's better in later games, but that starting point bugs me.

Miranda - I don't think Miranda needs a lover as much as she needs someone who sees her and respects her as a person first and foremost. All her life, she's seen herself through the perspective of being this ideal of being perfect and living up to that. Befriending her, showing her that there's someone who likes her even when she's flawed, is more important to me than getting in her pants.

Jack - Like Miranda, she's someone who needs a friend, someone who doesn't want to take what they need from her and drop her the moment after, more than a love interest. Given all of the times she's been burned in her life, I also don't think it's fair to get involved with her, as my Shepard's are all aware of the fact that they could get killed on the Suicide Mission. Getting her to care about someone and open up to them, only for them to die on them, at that point, could have made it so that she'd never heal.

Tali - She's like my little sister, guys! I am not about to date my little sister!

Steve - Given that his arc is about letting go of his husband, it feels like he gets involved with Shepard on the rebound. Not exactly my favorite idea for a starting point.

Which leaves Kaidan, who Shepard forged a friendship with during the first game, one founded on mutual respect, he's got a sense of humor that matches my Shepard's, and, while he's not romanceable until ME3 for my Shepard's, I always felt this undercurrent that there could have been something, that both of them was just afraid of that first step at that point, which I honestly see as a little more realistic - they needed time to be able to actually make that move. The fact that it doesn't happen in a single game, which usually feel like they take place roughly over the course of a month or two, give or take, to me, makes it feel a little more realistic for me.

My main shep is Liara.
Kept with her all 3 games. With that said i'm a bit dissapointed with the LI for her in ME3.
It was handled much better in ME2. Since it seems she kept the feelings from 1.
However in 3 she sort of forgets and goes back to being you "friend" for a bit which REALLY threw me off.

Garrus for my femShep, Jack for my manShep. Garrus because I love the relationship progression and the fact it's largely based on the respect he and Shepard have for one another, and Jack because she's smoking hot and deserves some stability. And her romance is incredibly touching in ME2.

Garrus. Before my 'romance Garrus' run through ME3, I might have chosen differently.

I just love that relationship. It feels 'real' to me in a way none of the other Bioware romances have. Blessedly free of the angst that I'm honestly sick of. Its about support, friendship and mutual respect.

Bioware did good. Very good.

I always romance Ashley.
She's misunderstood by most people who play it seems. Her hearts in the right place. I just think she has a nice personality, and she is always just enjoyable to talk too.

Love every single second of Jack in MEs 2 & 3.

Her look / attitude / character arc.

If you romanced her, you get to see what kind of an impact you had on her, helping to give her life direction. Pretty rewarding/satisfying.
