Well... Liara, obviously... she is sweet, intelligent, goes to hell and back to recover your body...

If they were open for a more gentler and sapphic touch, would like to romance Tali, but that is not possible, Jack, sadly shows no interest, but my canon Shepard is faithful to Liara all the way.

I romanced Liara in ME1. Then I heard Tali was a romance in ME2 and I did an entire new play through to remain single. (I like to RP that Shepard dug Tali all along, but wasn't sure how to bring it up)

I really loved his character since ME1, he was EPIC in ME3. I think the writers did an amazing job with his character in ME3, he really has grown a lot since ME1 and in a believable way too.

In ME3 at least it was easily Liara. Didn't really think she was anything special in ME1 though. Jack was always interesting but not so much as a LI.

Liara, because Bioware tested the boundries with her love scenes in ME1 and ME3 IMO. Plus, blue..just...blue.

Tali'Zorah, she's just so sweet and geeky, I love it! With that said, I do feel a bit guilty when it comes to Liara, she's been so supportive of me during these past years she deserves a warm body to wake up to every morning, she deserves more than I can offer her.

For a me, I always picked Miranda for Shep. Both have had troubled past, I was an earthborn and sole survivor. Both are strong minded, both are mainly good people, and both kicked ass in ME2. Also she helps my personal story for Shep as he tried to find solitude with her, which is why I really loved how ME3 illustrated what I envisoned to happen with them, except I hate the end of the game. T_T

She is very loyal, very duty oriented.  Shepard is remade, back from the dead, and with Cerberus.  That would spark red flags for just about everyone.

Granted this issue should have been resolved in ME2, but at least it makes sense.

They really didn't give her much treatment in ME3, wont argue there.  I understand it though.  They make you choose Kaiden/Ashley.  That doubles the amount of work Bioware has to do, and pay voice actors, for the same amount of content.

I suppose looking at it from a business perspective allowed me to reason with it, because if I didn't, Id be in the same boat as you.

Her sense of duty is what made the entire thing so random.  She doesn't even give it a chance, she just abandons the colonists to go do.........what?  You'd think she'd at least sign on temporarily to help track down *that* set of colonists, even if she bailed before the suicide mission.  Or offer intel....anything.  Instead she just dissapears for no reasons and lets the colonists die.

As for the 'amount of work' they would have had to add, even from a business perspective, I have to call bull****.  It wasn't even that much missing - it was the pacing of it that was so off.  You had a special 1 on 1 on the citadel, you had a special 1 on 1 at the end, and you had the entire hospital sequence....but everything else, the "random" character interactions were almost completely missing.  At most 2-3 more 'random' sequences would have really fleshed out their characters and made things not so.......stale.

All I really remember about Ash from ME3 is walking into that observation deck about 6 missions in a row and just getting "Hey Shepard."

Plus, the same argument about having to double dip on paying voice actors can be made in ME1 when you choose between the two in the first place, and they didn't skimp there - just felt like everything after ME1 was horrifically vague/half ass with Ash, which leads me to want to kill her in ME1 every single time now so she can at least have a glorious end to her story (which finishes her family lineage subplot quite nicely)  instead of .... whatever the hell she becomes afterwards.

Since I have a real hard time playing Male Shepard, having been spoiled by the Female Shepard voice acting, I've been primarily focused on the female options of which for me Liara was just the most fulfilling. She was my first love interest in ME1. I was totally distraught when she wasn't available in ME 2. I cried myself to sleep every night. Then Lair of the Shadow Broker was released and Bioware dangled sweet tantalizing hope before my mortal eyes for a full rekindling of the love in ME 3 and boy did they deliver! I had countless scenes with her, slowly building from the uncertainty of how to handle Shepard's death and two years of separation, to the final full blown, I love you Shepard, I love you Liara let's have little blue babies ending scene. Sniffle. I WANT MY BLUE BABIES BIOWARE! I don't care if Shepard dies I WANNA SEE BLUE BABIES RUNNING AROUND!

Okay I feel better now.

I would like to try Jack though and maybe Miranda in a play through, if you know, I ever play ME 3 again. Hell I'd like to try and bang James Vega too, pity I understand he's not an option! Yes I'm a sick puppy like that .

Liara, good god they put a lot of effort into her. Nice to have a female writer handling her character, so much better than ME2.

I also like Liara, even more now since they improved her character with LotSB and beyond.

Liara. She has a great romance in ME1. Saves you from the collectors. and even if you don't romance her in ME3 the last dialogue implies she has feelings for shepard. The only thing going against her is Feron but then again I think that was her trying to rationalize her hatred for the Shadow Broker.

Liara has nothing with feron, she tells you that in LOTSB, she even tells you that she made clear to him that as we humans say " she was taken "  , thats how amazing she his.
