Does anyone know the exact number of resource you need to get the 100
Bonus Import? I have similar resources for most of my characters. One
gave me 25, where the other gave me 100.

Left: Is the resources I had that Gave me the 100 War Assets.
Right: Is the resources I had that only gave me the 25 War Assets.

Iridium: 384543 <-> 329060
Palladium: 258409 <-> 247496
Platinum: 204,099 <-> 202002
Element Zero: 100,686 <-> 101453

Do you recall how you obtained most of the resources? Other posters have noted a difference when their resources came from mining/scanning as compared to Shadow Broker Deliveries/Save Game Editing. I only got 10 War Asset points from my import save, but I had used a Save Editor to skip mining that playthrough.

Most came from Scanning.

well, judging from your numbers, the sum decides. If you have more than 900.000 Mineral Resources you'll get 100 War Assets.

But people who have used save editors to give themselves millions of resources didn't get the bonus.  I'm currently playing Mass Effect 2 and I'm getting every damn planet in the game down to "depleted" just to be sure.

i bought everything i could thinking those guns i bought or upgrades i used would still be available, or atleast some of them.

boy was i wrong.

in terms of importing its more important to be a have 999,999 idirium instead of getting the cain or a nice biotic damage boost.

Wish BioWare would say something about it. Tells us how much is needed to get the 100 War Asset Bonus. I'll do some more scanning in ME2 before my next playthrough if I knew how Much I needed.

You have to play around 2 Hours before finding out if you got 10, 25 or 100.

I got 25 bonus with
~40k Element Zero
~180k Iridium
~130k Platinum
~90k Palladium.
Most came from scanning. And I spent all the resources needed to get all the upgrades/weapons.
It seems like the bonus is also tied to the percentage of planets examined/scanned.
My import had 80% of the planets examined but not depleted of resources.

Here's a post I made in another thread detailing the differences between my two playthroughs. It's difficult to know for certain what actually happened without actual confirmation, but here's my story:

GBGriffin wrote...

I know how confusing this is, so if this helps any, here was the difference between my playthroughs:

Playthrough 1 - 25 War Assets
-lowest resource was platinum at 49k, and the rest were no higher than 75K.
-galaxy at 100% explored (I went into orbit around all of them, didn't even launch probes at most)
-everything researched except LotSB weapon upgrades
- there was a little post-Suicide Mission mining, but I tried to have all upgrades going in to the mission because I thought maybe it only counted those. If I did any post-Arrival mining, it wasn't very much

Playthrough 2 - 100 War Assets
- lowest resource was eezo at 100K, rest were 500K (well, plat was 490K)
- galaxy was not even close to 100% explored
--going off of my checklist, I mined every mission planet to depletion that I could, as well as the entire Caelston Rift, Crescent Nebula, Eagle Nebula, Far Rim, Hades Nexus, Serpent Nebula, and Hawking Eta. (Oh, and Viper Nebula as well, because I knew it would get blown up)
- all upgrades purchased except LotSB weapon upgrades
-up until the Suicide Mission, I had been mining just the mission planets with the intent of mining everything post-Arrival DLC (which I always do last). Once I finished that, I started mining the galaxies I listed above to depletion, then I just gave up :P

I hope that helps in any way...I wish there was a solid answer on this.

Thanks!
I think it must be your resources minus import bonus minus found resources (chests, shadow broker consol drops). If that total is a million-ish then you get the 100 war asset points.
At least that seems to be the case math wise in the forums. Right now i have 1.2 million not subtracting found resources. I'm going to import, see what happens and then report back.
Just as a test, I'm not fully exploring the galaxy. I'm going to see if that makes a difference.
On a separate file, I'm going to explore the rest, if I don't get the 100 points without full exploration the first time.
I'll report back in a few.

Did a quick run through.
I had 1.2 in minerals/E0.
80% of the galaxy at 100%.
5 galaxies 100% depleted.
Only 25 from mineral asset.
Looks like amount plus amount depleted is key.

Yea, from the looks the War Assets score is based upon the planets found / planets depleted ratio.... I most certainly hope the Viper Nebula doesn't count.

Eh?

I got 100, I had 100k of every element and eezo. All 'found' upgrades, all ship crap etc but no shop bought upgrades outside of sniper rifles.

it's not based on planets found/depleted. I modified one of my saves with gibbed's editor (me2).

Palladium: 275.811
Iridium: 302.593
Platinum: 171.680
Eezo: 50.085

Importing that i got 25 WarAssets (i think, might have been 10).
i modified the eezo value to 605.085 and received 100 War Assets.

My guess, during import, the game can't read values higher than 999.999. So if you modified a value to something higher the game will read it as 0.

Or there's a higher weight value to eezo?

Seems like a greater weight is applied to E0 as it occurs so in frequently.
I am just going to scan every planet since I have to start over anyway.

I too hope the Viper Nebula doesn't count. :D
whoops.
Sorry Batarians. My bad.

Then it must have something to do with the Eezo ratio somehow... Even though I have 160k Eezo, which is way more than some people with the 100 WA score.

So you had ~1.5 million resources.
Excellent.
I'm starting 2.2 million in resources and will report what happens.
As of know I have completely depleted the following clusters.
Hourglass Nebula
Valhalla Threshold
The Shrke Abyssal
Iso Fronter (can't read my writing...sorry about spelling)
Crescent Nebula
Minos Wasteland
Local Cluster
Serpent Nebula
Eagle Nebula
Krogan DMZ
Shadow Sea
Nubian Expanse
Titan Nebula

I have approximately:
125k E0
991k IR
650k PL
800k PA

I continued to deplete systems when my 1.2 million in resources wasn't enough to get more than 25 war assets.

As a test, I've modded my ME2 to have a lot of Eezo:

585360 Iridium
524333 Palladium
595956 Platinum
652527 Element Zero

Still I only got 25... Just to be sure, have you completed ME3 protognosis/Tleining? It might be related to that.

I think it's related to actual scanning.  Perhaps it keeps track of the number of planets that you've depleted or something, or even the number of probes launched.

No, this confirmed that it isn't.

I got bored with trying to figure this out and just promoted a MP character to make up the difference. Still, would be nice to know what the issue is.

Hehe, should've been "Have you completed ME3, protognosis or Tleining". Specifically, I was asking if you had completed ME3 when you got the 25 War Asset score, and if not, if you did complete it when you got the 100 War Asset score.

I just went in with that exact amount, and it did not net me 100 War Assets.
