I always played a Paragon character, but YES, I must admit... I turned to the Dark Side...
I shooted Udina immediatly, without esitation... with the Renegade Action...

And in that moment I said: Yes, die you f*****g b*****d!

And it was one of the best moments of my ME entire journey... even better than Miranda moving to let me admire her body in the black leather suit...

I always HATED Udina from the 1st ME... and I shall thank you BioWare for giving me the chance to send him to hell... eh eh ehPosted Image

I thought it was sad how Udina was trying to grab for power in a time of war when he was already the human councilor. I mean how much more power can you get?

He was always a dick but he had it coming since the day he sold us out and grounded the Normandy.

I think the Illusive Man was pulling his strings from the start, seems like otherwise a better politician would of been our ambassador/councilor. Just speculation.

IIRC he wasn't really so much making a power grab, he was already the most powerful human in history, as he was trying to save Earth. He threw his lot in with the wrong team, Cerberus, I believe he was a good person with good intentions, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

He is someone to pity, not hate.

Ever since I knew of Cerberus and after re-reading the codex I always assumed Udina would be a part of Cerberus.

He said it himself, with parliament and everyone dead, he was probably the most powerful human in history... And yet he still has no control over what happens... Perhaps he figured with Cerberus he would be able to change things in ways he saw fit, instead of pleading to the rest of the council.

I actually felt bad for him, because from the early ME3 interactions, he seemed to be desperately trying to save Earth, so I perceived the coup attempt as a desperate, if misguided, attempt to help.

I played as a Paragon, but when that Renegade option popped up, my finger hit the mouse button on its own. No joke. So good.

I hesitated for a moment, I wanted to capture him...but decided it was him or the Asari so he had to go.

I really don't know how I feel about this. It's better than the original, where he was indoctrinated, but there's just so little explanation. He comes across as pretty reasonable in the first couple of games--maybe a jerk, sure, but he's an antagonistic politician, not a villain. He seemed fine in his talk after meeting with the Council for the first time too. Then, all of a sudden, he joins up with Cerberus and is killed.

You could make an argument that it was all out of desperation, but I think I would've preferred his motivations to be stated in-game by Bailey or something, not just relegated to the codex. As is, it feels more like an opportunity for the fans to take out someone who had opposed Shepard in the past, rather than having it serve as an important plot point.

I think shattering Kai Leng's sword and stabbing him to avenge Thane was the most satisfying thing i've done.

Why wasn't there an option to shoot him, but not kill him? Disarm him?

I also shot him without any hesitation, just because I didn't want that asari to die

I play paragon. However, shooting him (and the illusive man) was done without hesitation. Ive been wanting to do both of them from ME1.

That tied with Kai Leng getting an Omni blade to the gut. Bringing down the reaper with the orbital strength was pretty boss too.

since everything in mass effect is so darn close to real life, you always shoot to kill irl, shooting to disable is dangerous and harder to do, and can cost you should you miss

Killing Udina wasn't nearly as satisfying as gutpunching Han'Gerrel after his attempted screw job. My paragon couldn't wait for the renegade option to come up.

I actually enjoyed watching (in my case) Ashley shoot Udina, but I did not hesitate once with Kei Leng or the Illusive man. Both very satsfactory.

What happens if you don't renegade-interrupt Kai Leng's sword?

Pure Paragon but my finger twitched. ^_^ Both times.
But yeah what happens if you don't? Does the Asari bite it? She did kinda ****** me off with her "cruel truth" about Earth being fodder while they scurry around building defenses. So I might give into satisfaction the reload lol
