So? Any one with implants can be dumped into the beam? Please note you just rationalize it in your mind. The whole ME2 and 3 plot did not give one little explanation toward this.

I thought the synthesis option was pure evil. You just essentially altered the intrinsic nature of every living being. You took away the free will of every being in the galaxy.
yep, this is how i view that ending too

What exactly makes you think you took the free will away from everyone? Yes you did alter the intrinsic nature of every being organic and synthetic into some kind of wierd, unknown, new kind of framework but that doesn't take away everyone's free will. Not exactly the ending I wanted, but better than the other two. And also the only one where see any of the crew remotely happy afterwards.

You just changed every organic's makeup in the galaxy without their will.
...so it IS pure evil and everything against Shepard's ideals.

Great to hear that again. Made me more convinced that it's indoctrination.lasertank wrote...

What changed you????
The kid ("Master of the Reapers" btw) convinced Shepard to believe him. Convinced him that the options given are the only opportunity.
Sounded exactly like Saren.

You changed their very nature without their consent. How are you not taking away their free will?
Besides, they look happy in every ending. Even the LI, who usually looks like he/she's about to burst into tears at the prospect of leaving Shep forever.

I'm pretty sure EDI and the Geth, and every other form of synthetic life wouldn't will themselves to be anhilated. Also apparently you'd have the same problem on your hands soon enough given what the Spacebaby says.

And as for control, I'm pretty sure Shepard can't stay uncorrupted by the reapers forever.

Have you seen the EDI and Joker in the Synthesis ending? You're really comparing /that/ to that stunned walk out you get with the other two?

Yeah this is why I hated synthesis. Shepard just became Saren. Yipee.

Probably yes? Is there anyone with implants standing there? Shep's not THAT special. He's special in that he's the one who managed to reach the point where he can make decisions, but TIM most likely could've picked all 3 endings as well. Not sure where the problem here is. Shep already is almost God-like, people want him to be even more special?lasertank wrote...

I agree completely. The presentation shows that this is supposed to be a good ending. The salvation theme is clearly visible here. Why people refuse to see that is beyond my comprehension.IsaacShep wrote...
Forgetting about all the plotholes why did the Normandy ended up on the jungle planet, I'm REALLY liking the synthesis ending. it requires Shep to sacrifice himself completely (in control ending it's just the body), yet seeing EDI and Joker smile and how life got trasformed was just beautiful.
Too many people have knee-jerk responses to this, associating bad things with no evidence whatsoever. That's their prerogative I guess, but it should be noted that nothing in the ending sequence actually suggests them.
